[Talk about a fun-filled week. Boy howdy. And while Alec isn't exactly ignoring all of these awful things that keep happening to him and everyone he's met, there is one thing that still weights on him a little. It's probably not that important in retrospect, but it's weird and his life is weird and he just wants one thing to make sense. He just hopes the, uh, guy (male? skeleton?) is still around.]
To the walking skeleton. [What was its name? Papyrus? (Why did it have a name?) At least he doesn't call him a corpse...]
Uh. [He scratches the back of his neck. It's come to this. Apologizing to a corpse. Granted, if his arrow had actually hit it, it probably would've obliterated it, and whether the skeleton/ghost/corpse has a soul is still up for debate, but it was weirdly friendly and maybe it's not the weirdest thing he's ever seen?
No. That's a lie. It's the weirdest thing he's ever seen.] Sorry.

Magnus. He hadn't wanted anyone to be here, stuck with him, brought here by a company that honestly had no idea what the hell it was doing and, more than that, was terrible at the ideas they did have. But Magnus was -- not fair. He was thrown off by it, blown back.
The idea of saying no is unthinkable. He doesn't know what to feel, what to say to him -- they hadn't even had time to figure what they were -- but he sure as hell wouldn't abandon him.]
I'm coming now. Hold on. [And he's... definitely moving. The camera shifts up and down as he moves.] Are you all right?
no subject
Getting by. [ Magnus doesn't mention his magic; if Alec's been here that long, then he knows what's going on. There's nothing to talk about there. The loss of it is an ache he can't shake. ] What about you?
no subject
Alive. [It's a grim answer, but there's a little bit of humor in it.] It's been, um. [What's a good word for this?] Fun.
no subject
I did make friends with a fish-monkey until it nearly blew me up with a coconut. So I suppose it's been a bit exciting.

Alec frowns. It's Magnus, who seems to have a lot of adventures, but he also says a lot of things that throws Alec off balance, whether or not they were true.]
I... I don't know if you're joking or not.
no subject
You didn't run into the island monkeys with a penchant for throwing explosive items at bystanders?
no subject
They don't sound as fun as the lava golems.
no subject
You're right. Yours definitely sound more fun.

[He can't be dry with Magnus very long, though. Or at all. He's... worried. He's trying not to let it show, but he's not blind to what's been happening with the warlocks and -- whatever else around here.
It has to be the reason Magnus hasn't portaled back.]
So the coconuts blew up? Might be why they tried to make a bomb with them.
no subject
[ Of course he's worried. Magnus is trying very hard to deflect it because there isn't anything to discuss and a month without his magic is...unwelcome to say the least. He doesn't want to talk about it. Or the fact that he stepped into a portal of his own making and wound up here.
Speaking of -- ]
How'd you get here, by the way? You didn't take a portal, too, did you?
no subject
Too? I wasn't close to a portal. I don't. [He wavers, looking off from the feed, his teeth grazing his lip.] I don't know how I got here. I have no idea, Magnus.
[And he's increasingly frustrated by remembering that. A month had gone by and he didn't need to think about it. It just was. It was where he'd ended up. (Without Jace, without Isabelle. And, he thought, with his relationship/not-relationship with Magnus still screwed up, his parents still frustrated, Lydia still in the infirmary --)
It was a lot. And this was teh first time he'd let any of it show, but he quickly wiped his face clear again.] There wasn't much I could do about it once I woke up.
no subject
I went through a portal, but I've never had anyone interfere with my portal magic before. [ Or any of his magic, not really. That's a power limited to angels or...his father. Which he isn't getting into. He pauses, taking in Alec's furrowed brows. ]
Look, we'll talk about it later when you're here. I'm just -- I'm glad you're okay.
no subject
Yeah, okay. [Surprise crossed his face, brows coming together. He was never going to be used to this.] I'm fine.
no subject
It didn't get sucked out, it's some kind of suppressor. [ A small pause. ] I'm pretty sure.
[ No idea about the Nalawi, though. If their gifts came from an outside source, it's probably different. But his magic is explicitly tied to his demon blood; it can't be removed from him any more than Alec's angelic blood. ]
