[Talk about a fun-filled week. Boy howdy. And while Alec isn't exactly ignoring all of these awful things that keep happening to him and everyone he's met, there is one thing that still weights on him a little. It's probably not that important in retrospect, but it's weird and his life is weird and he just wants one thing to make sense. He just hopes the, uh, guy (male? skeleton?) is still around.]
To the walking skeleton. [What was its name? Papyrus? (Why did it have a name?) At least he doesn't call him a corpse...]
Uh. [He scratches the back of his neck. It's come to this. Apologizing to a corpse. Granted, if his arrow had actually hit it, it probably would've obliterated it, and whether the skeleton/ghost/corpse has a soul is still up for debate, but it was weirdly friendly and maybe it's not the weirdest thing he's ever seen?
No. That's a lie. It's the weirdest thing he's ever seen.] Sorry.

[ By process of elimination, and only knowing of two walking skeletons on their team, only one of whom is missing, she guesses he means Papyrus.
Her eye twitches. She forces a smile, bearing her fangs. ]
So, uh. What is it that you have to be sorry for?

They sometimes tend to smile like that. Like they're very happy to eat him.]
Are you interrogating me?

[ She's trying so hard to be nice about this. But something in the back of her mind makes her feel that much more uneasy. Like a bad memory she can't quite conjure up. ]
no subject
Also, it might say a lot he's weirded out by talking skeletons, but not fish, uh, women. (?)]
He knows. Are you... do you know him or something? It was a misunderstanding.
[That seems a nice way to put it. Not that he's defending himself.]

[ Said with a very heavy air of thinning patience. Her nerves are already shot, and she's trying very hard not to jump to conclusions but... she still hasn't found Papyrus. And blaming a storm isn't nearly as appealing as blaming a living thing that she can actually confront. ]
So I'm gonna ask again. What is it that you have to be sorry for?

[Zombies? Okay, he understands those. He's never seen one, thank the Angel, but sure. They exist. Talking skeletons? With personalities? That say gee and golly?
No.]

WHAT. If Alec looked unaffected in any of his other posts, he DEFINITELY is not now. He'd looked for anyone. Isabelle, Jace, even -- even Clary, because he was desperate, but in the end it was easier to accept it was just him. If he could trust Clary to do anything, it would be to find Jace.
Alec isn't ready to take time out to post a proper response.]
Magnus? Where the -- how did you -- You're. Here?
no subject
Unfortunately, almost a month, actually. [ His eyes narrow, because that's not really the response he would have expected if Alec were aware he's been missing. Which can only mean one thing: ]
You didn't just get here, did you?
no subject
It was bad enough, this alternate universe stuff. The fact he thought he should have been taking over some other Alec Lightwood -- from what Clary had told him.
He runs a hand through his hair, visibly twitchy in the feed.]
A month. Almost a month. Were you -- where are you?

You want me to take a message there, champ?

oh god, why are there two, what the hell is this dimension. He clears his throat.]
It's not that important. [Just accept it. Move on. Talking corpses. Sure.] Just thank him for the help, I guess.

[Said lightly, more an imparting of common knowledge than any sort of chastisement. That said:]
Though I suppose that would require you to know his name.
aw yeah thx for the white mocha frappe
[It's not as defensive as it sounds. Probably. As helpful as the jewelry is -- he'll give it that -- it's not entirely intuitive.]
It's good to know.

Anything else about the jewelry that confuses you?
no subject
A bit, actually, but I'll figure it out. Thanks. [A pause. Wait.] Unless there's some secret hidden features I'm missing.
