[Talk about a fun-filled week. Boy howdy. And while Alec isn't exactly ignoring all of these awful things that keep happening to him and everyone he's met, there is one thing that still weights on him a little. It's probably not that important in retrospect, but it's weird and his life is weird and he just wants one thing to make sense. He just hopes the, uh, guy (male? skeleton?) is still around.]

To the walking skeleton. [What was its name? Papyrus? (Why did it have a name?) At least he doesn't call him a corpse...]

Granted, if his arrow had actually hit it, it probably would've obliterated it, and whether the skeleton/ghost/corpse has a soul is still up for debate, but it was weirdly friendly and maybe it's not the weirdest thing he's ever seen?

[ She's trying so hard to be nice about this. But something in the back of her mind makes her feel that much more uneasy. Like a bad memory she can't quite conjure up. ]

Also, it might say a lot he's weirded out by talking skeletons, but not fish, uh, women. (?)]

He knows. Are you... do you know him or something? It was a misunderstanding.

[That seems a nice way to put it. Not that he's defending himself.]

[ Said with a very heavy air of thinning patience. Her nerves are already shot, and she's trying very hard not to jump to conclusions but... she still hasn't found Papyrus. And blaming a storm isn't nearly as appealing as blaming a living thing that she can actually confront. ]

So I'm gonna ask again. What is it that you have to be sorry for?

[It's something about the fact that she seems a little prickly about it that gives him pause. He's not defending what he did, but he still knows it was a fair assessment. Walking skeletons are, in the end, the kind of thing he's supposed to kill. ]

I almost shot him. [Usually that's the end of it. Alec doesn't miss often.] He's extremely good at dodging.

[ You can see the fins start to slowly flare out, and she visibly tenses, like she might try to leap through the projection, as if that were even possible. ]

You what?? Why were you even shooting in his direction?!
