Like a few others here, I'm among those who met the goddess Nalanni. And like others there are things I learned from having a conversation with her. First and foremost, I'd like to request some help in conveying a message she intended for her people.
She wanted them to know that she loves them, and that she knows they can go on without her.
At the time, I was struck with the thought that she'd considered her own passing a possibility. And now that I've seen mentions of slaying gods here, it seems she wasn't wrong. Maybe some of you know more than me, but I'm not convinced it's the only way. Having said that, I'm not blind to the reality that those are our orders, and that there are those who will follow them.
I'm more interested in helping the Nalawi. I gave my word that I would do whatever I could, and so... To those who are already making efforts to ensure the Nalawi are able to sustain themselves, whatever may come, I'd like to volunteer any help I can provide.
If anyone wants further information on the conversation I had with Nalanni, please let me know. I'm unsure how much would be redundant, since admittedly, I've picked up on recent developments here and there.

[She tucks the comment about not being top form away, though- it implies a certain ability or magic that may be dampened by the current circumstance.]
I do not mind if you are familiar with my name amongst ourselves, but while working officially I prefer Master Sullivan.
[It was hard enough gaining respect among her fellow recruits, many of whom seemed to care an awful lot for her physical age. At least the Nalawi did not mind her size.]
no subject
[Those he's met have been considerate enough to him, he'd be remiss if he failed to do the same. She may seem young, but he's sure judging by appearances would be a mistake.
The places they come from all seem so different]
But how much weight, let's see...
[He hums thoughtfully, folding his arms. Should he tell her the actual weight he can handle, or should he downplay it? And without access to his kagune...]
It might be easier to gauge against what you'd need me to handle, if you wouldn't mind elaborating.
no subject
[She answers quickly enough, but if partway through her expression grows slightly... Perverse... It's surely all his imagination.]
- provided you could do so without being too rough, of course.
no subject
And it's pretty plain on his face when he mentally shrugs this off as harmless]
That should be within my means, if it'd be helpful.
[She doesn't appear heavy after all, unless somehow she's from some race that looks human but is somehow remarkably heavy for their size? But that's too fantastical.
Maybe there are things she needs help reaching? This is what he's left to guess]
The members of my squad are mostly close to my size, and I can lift them easily enough.
no subject
For a sustained period? If so, you shall not only assist in first aid, but in transportation as well.
[She says it like its an honor, at least?]
no subject
But ah, she makes it sound so lofty...it's cute really]
Yes, that should be fine. I'd hate to grow lax, besides.
[Not that carrying her around would be that much of a workout, surely]
no subject
Well then, Sasaki Haise, I shall look forward to our meeting in person. I shall evaluate your skills before we head out into the field.
[That lofty thing will stick around, so hopefully he continues to find it cute.]
no subject
The gift of having a squad with their own, special quirks]
Two hours after dawn at the beach, right? I'll be sure to arrive early, so as not to throw off your schedule.
no subject
That is correct- I will bring supplies, so unless you've an abundance of your own, you needn't bring anything else.
no subject
At the moment I don't have those kinds of provisions, so that's fortunate. Sorry for the imposition.
no subject
It is of little concern- I make what I need, and each land provides for its own the natural ingredients to heal. It is simply a matter of learning from the locals wherever we go.
no subject
[It'd be a useful skill, to say the least]
no subject
[For better or worse.]
no subject
[Not that he...feels that great about this one.
But that doesn't bear repeating from him]
no subject
[Neither does she- but why waste the time to put it in to words anymore...]
no subject
[He trails off, sifting through ways to phrase it]
I take it it's not something to look forward to.
no subject
[In the biblical sense]
no subject
And ultimately a frown is only appropriate]
Although...theatrical... I have to believe there are better methods.
[Here they are trying to help and that's what they got...?]
I'm sorry you were put through something like that.
no subject
[Her own expression has grown somewhat dark, but. There isn't much anything good that came of it, to her mind.]
It is nothing- despite my handicaps, I fared as well as most.
no subject
[He hopes it's not typical, as it seems to him that imposing hardships isn't effective training... Although his earliest days of training in the CCG, while less flashy, weren't really better]
If you don't mind my asking, what is your impression of ALASTAIR, as an organization?
no subject
[Her impression of the organization...]
They seem to fancy themselves mysterious... voices from on high, who know better than we on what is "right"... I do not approve of it.
no subject
After all, this mission is his first. Perhaps someone else is more experienced in this organization, but she certainly knows more than he does]
That was starting to seem the case, from what I'd been hearing from others. I wasn't sure if it was this mission in particular or not... The organization I worked for previously [and assumes he'll return to-] had its secrets, but there was far more structure.
no subject
[But.]
In this case, their secrets seem to inhibit the actual work that needs to be done.
no subject
[He can't help but wonder, considering she isn't the first person to mention this sort of issue with the organization's operations]
no subject
[Not ALASTAIR's biggest fan, even if she was grateful for certain things they had done for her.]
