Now that we're all back in Oska with our powers restored, I'd like to formally offer my services as a doctor and surgeon to the team. Especially those of you with what you think are incurable diseases.
[A pause as he turns his head to answer a question from Olivia, inaudible from this far away.]

More importantly... [Law rests his chin on his hand as he turns back to the feed, inadvertently showing off his fingers tattooed with the letters "DEAT".... Given his username you can guess what letter is on the thumb. It's all the more sinister with that lazy smirk on his face. Literally nothing about him says "legitimate doctor."] For all you heroic and daring types out there, be a little more reckless, won't you? We've got to give Olivia-ya here some hands on practice.

[ This time you can hear Olivia yelp "Mr. Law!" In the background, but before she can protest further, he ends the feed.]

My greatest skill lies in medicine-making - although as this crew finds itself on strange shores I must confess I know little of the plants which grow so far from my dear native land. I did learn some simple salves and poultices from the cloven-footed Nalawi, which I have taken with me. I have expertise too in battlefield surgeries: removing spear tips and arrow heads from the flesh, and cleaning the wounds that it might heal. But I can do nothing for the man who has been struck in the heart, the bowels, the liver, or any such organs which once torn open cannot be sealed shut.

[Here comes a brief pause.]

I have had a hand too in delivering a baby but once. But such is a matter best left to women.

I doubt you'll need to repeat the latter while you're here. [Hopefully.] The former items on your list occur with regular frequency here, unfortunately. Would you be willing to be called on in situations where your skills would be useful?

Indeed, where aid is wanted and when I am able, there and then should I offer my skills. I have not the supplies on hand that I would like, but this I plan to amend. But what mean you, to say that never shall child be born among this crew? Are the women not ripe with youth and thus fertile?

Be that as it may [said quite acerbically] but ALASTAIR's unstable environment is hardly an appropriate one to raise a child in.

This I would hardly argue, for we of this crew find ourselves as migrants who travel from land to land without once returning home - but one need not be intentional about the matter to be with child.
