[Pearl was a little apprehensive at first to go ahead about this. But when she thought about it, this would be beneficial to many people here. Especially for people who were not used to missions, or even fighting for that matter.
Swallowing hard, Pearl lifts her head and sets her 'communicator' on a rock in the outskirts of the city. Out of harm's way. Once it was perfect, she starts.]
Greetings everyone of ALASTAIR. My name is Pearl, and I wanted to offer my assistance.
[In her hand, it looks to be a sword, held confidently. She bows in greeting to the jewel, shifting awkwardly. This was so different than what she's used to. Heck, she didn't know if it was even working.
Behind her, another 'Pearl' comes up behind her, with a sword as well, about to strike her over the head with it. But in one swift movement, the opposing Pearl falls to the ground, flickering. Pearl lowers her arm, the sword having penetrated the hologram, which fizzles out of existence altogether.]
I have experience when it comes to swordsmanship, and as well as experience with the use of a spear. I wanted to gather if there would be any interest for some training. We all come from many different backgrounds, myself included. I want to make sure everyone has a chance to defend themselves.
For now, I'm gauging interest. Also, if anyone else is interested in hosting some training as well. I don't... mean to be the 'head' of any group. I merely wish to help where I can. This would help immensely for what might be on the horizon for us.
If anyone has any questions, please let me know. And if you wish to speak to me in person, I'm just on the outskirts here.

[She's thinking of Mirror's Card, but not sure on outright saying that specifically over the network. Even if she already mentioned it to Riza earlier.]
no subject
no subject
[Which she is, not leaving Pearl to wonder for too long, given after a few days she better knows her way around by now. Able to find the place easily enough from what she saw on the necklace, and Pearl being pretty recognizable herself. So Sakura's quick to approach, rushing over with a wave, clutching the two Cards, Sword and Mirror, in the other hand.]
Pearl! I made it! I just....you won't...freak out when I show you?
[Sakura she has no idea what you are about to show her. How can she actually answer that with context.]
no subject
I've seen a lot of strange things in my day, Sakura. Go ahead.
no subject
[With that confirmation, she closes her eyes, hands almost cupping the necklace she had prior to arrival, not the one from ALASTAIR. There's a slight glow and gust of wind as she summons forth the staff, the birdlike key extending.]
The key that holds the power of darkness. Reveal your true form to me. I, Sakura, command thee under convert. Release!
[And that's just the beginning. Because after that, she uses the staff to summon forth the Cards. First Mirror, which appears as an exact duplicate of Sakura herself, before using the Sword and thus transforming her staff.]
no subject
That's... wow.
no subject
I have other Cards too. It's just that Mirror and Sword seemed the best when you mentioned training. With Mirror, if I can train against her, you won't need to make me a dummy.
no subject
Does she have a mind o her own?
no subject
[Down a cliff, actually. Sakura was rather panicked then, which the Mirror card obviously still feels bad for from the expression as Sakura tries to explain, having actually gotten rather fond of the older Kinomoto sibling from her brief time with him. But she doesn't shy away from Pearl either. Simply remaining fairly still as she waits for any sort of instruction.]
Sometimes when I've had to go out, I've let Mirror pretend to be me so brother and dad don't get worried.
no subject
Perhaps I could create a wooden sword. While it still may hurt, it wouldn't slice into anyone...
no subject
[Of course she wouldn't want to accidentally hurt any of the Cards, even if they might agree to any sort of training if it would help her, in supporting their Mistress. Now she's almost second guessing this, but surely a wooden sword could work. Sakura could always practice with the Sword card alone, after all.]
no subject
And perhaps this way, you could also teach her as well. She could act as an excellent distraction and catch enemies off guard by her sword fighting skills.
no subject
[And it is this, the fact she would ask and consider the other's feelings, that she befriends the Cards rather than ordering them, that they get so attached to her and obey and assist her so readily. Affirmed by Mirror's nod of agreement after a bow of greeting to Pearl in return. She will help, if necessary. If Sakura asks and calls for her aid. She always would.]
no subject
With wooden swords. For the time being, until you get into more advanced techniques.
no subject
[Mirror seems happy to help. As would any of the other Cards if Sakura just asked. She dismisses Sword though, returning it to Card form and simply holding the staff for a moment as she considers. ]
I guess it might take a little before we could get a wooden one made though.
no subject
There are more children here than I thought initially. Plus it wouldn't be bad to have a few on hand for others who are inexperienced with fighting.
no subject
[Not that Sakura is denying it would be better to use wooden swords and weapons as they adjust or simply spar and practice. She's just possibly missed some of the other children around her age being here if she hasn't run into them yet herself.]
no subject
The more help we can get, the better. There's no telling what will happen next.
no subject
[At the least, making friends is something she does easily, something that cheers her up some, even if she is at the moment a little distracted from the task at hand for a moment. But Pearl isn't wrong. Better to be prepared and not need such skills.]
no subject
[She smiles though, looking determined.]
For now, I think we'll invest in a wooden sword for you and mirror to work with.
no subject
[Yes, there are more Cards than just the Sword and the Mirror. Seventeen more, to be exact. Sakura's just a little protective with them given she more considers them her friends than seeing herself as their Master to order them around. When they help, it's of their own volition. And she isn't sure if making a sword or two from the Wood card might hurt her or not. She's never used the cards like that before to know.]
no subject
[Pearl waves her hand dismissively.] I can handle all of that, no problem at all.
You can relax for now. Training won't start for a while anyways. Once I have the wooden sword created, I will let you know.
no subject
[Giving a nod of agreement and eagerness. Ready to start once Pearl is ready, has things sorted in preparation. She has managed this long without actual training after all.]
