[Pearl was a little apprehensive at first to go ahead about this. But when she thought about it, this would be beneficial to many people here. Especially for people who were not used to missions, or even fighting for that matter.

Swallowing hard, Pearl lifts her head and sets her 'communicator' on a rock in the outskirts of the city. Out of harm's way. Once it was perfect, she starts.]

Greetings everyone of ALASTAIR. My name is Pearl, and I wanted to offer my assistance.

[In her hand, it looks to be a sword, held confidently. She bows in greeting to the jewel, shifting awkwardly. This was so different than what she's used to. Heck, she didn't know if it was even working.

Behind her, another 'Pearl' comes up behind her, with a sword as well, about to strike her over the head with it. But in one swift movement, the opposing Pearl falls to the ground, flickering. Pearl lowers her arm, the sword having penetrated the hologram, which fizzles out of existence altogether.]

I have experience when it comes to swordsmanship, and as well as experience with the use of a spear. I wanted to gather if there would be any interest for some training. We all come from many different backgrounds, myself included. I want to make sure everyone has a chance to defend themselves.

For now, I'm gauging interest. Also, if anyone else is interested in hosting some training as well. I don't... mean to be the 'head' of any group. I merely wish to help where I can. This would help immensely for what might be on the horizon for us.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know. And if you wish to speak to me in person, I'm just on the outskirts here.

Mjolnir. Hm, it's very unique.

[Pearl laughs lightly and shakes her head before bowing it slightly.]

It's quite alright, sir. People have their own preferences. Sometimes sword fighting isn't for everyone! But it seems as though you can handle yourself with Mjolnir.

[norse]

That it is. [ Except not, perhaps. If there's a wholly different Loki here then it stands to reason his not-quite brother's version of Thor has a similar hammer and that makes him feel weird, so he moves on. ]

Yes, she and I trained for a great many centuries until I proved myself worthy of her. I hope to remain so for a long time. Does your blade have a name, Lady Pearl?

[Pearl looks down at her sword and shifts her hold on the handle, flexing her fingers.]

I actually don't have one for it. I have a few others like this actually. And I typically use spears in battle. But I do find it amusing that humans have names for inanimate objects.

[She doesn't mean this offensively, she is genuinely amused. Pearl is unfamiliar with the idea of naming objects. It was endearing to say the least.]

Asgardian, [ he gently corrects her with a smile, ] from Asgard. Forgive me, these comms have me forgetting my manners when I would have otherwise introduced myself: Thor Odinson, son of Odin All-Father.

To my credit he named my hammer, not I.

[ Odin had the right, after all.]

Asgardian?

[She blinks, furrowing her brow in confusion. Was that a subspecies of human? Or... a title for some kind of human. He looks human to her.]

Is Asgard a planet of some sort? Different from Earth?

[norse]

One of the Nine Realms, part of Yggdrasil the World Tree. This ... must mean little to you, Lady Pearl. Asgard is a fair land, that of the Aesir — those whom the people of Earth once called gods.

[ Which is the only description anyone truly gets on board with. ]

Realms? And... gods....

[Woah, that's different. Pearl tries to think back to earth culture. Yes, many humans believed in gods. So, Thor here. He was a god?]

So... what are you a 'god' of, Thor?

[norse]

Thunder. [ Occasionally bringing people to life, oops. You're welcome, Vision. ] I bring the storm.

[beyourrock]

Really?!

[Pearl exclaims, her hands clasped together, over her chest. So this was a god that creates storms for earth? Well, maybe an earth, out there, but! None the less!]

Do you summon them with Mjolnir?

[norse]

[ Her excitement brings a smile to his face, chuckling. Mjolnir gets an absent spin in his hand. ]

The hammer certainly helps, although the storm comes either way. Are you fond of them, Lady Pearl?

When I first came to Earth, I had never witnessed them before. I always love learning new things, especially of different cultures and customs.

[Pearl clears her throat, trying not to show as too eager.]

I never dabbled within 'gods' research, but! It's good to hear it straight from the source!

[norse]

Then we should have a real storm one night with thunder to chase the lightning. I give my word, it will not strike you. [ He pulls a face, shrugging good-naturedly. ] Unless you walk into the downpour, in which case I can only suggest a thick cloak.

[beyourrock]

[She smiles warmly but shakes her head.]

I don't think a lightning strike will do much damage to this form of mine, maybe mild discomfort, but none the less!

I would love to see what kind of storms you could conduct here! I wonder if this alternate universe would alter your storms at all...

[norse]

You sound like someone I know. [ That's a mild comfort here in a completely other universe. More than that, he isn't even sure exactly what Jane is doing beyond the Nobel Prize thing or where she is on the Earth he knows; he hasn't for a while. ] Are you a woman of science? I've talked of myself and know nothing of you, you must correct me.

[beyourrock]

[She laughs lightly and shrugs casually.]

Oh I just research, reading about different topics. I find interest in engineering and what sciences I can invest my time into.

But I'm open to learning new concepts.

[norse]

If I meet anyone of note on the subject I shall give them your name. [ He cocks his head curiously. ] From where do you hail?

I originally came from space, but I decided to take refuge on Earth over 5,000 years ago.

So, yes. I hail from Earth.

[norse]

[ That's ... old. More so than Thor by miles. ]

What of your people?

[beyourrock]

My people reside on Homeworld. But that doesn't matter...

[She sounds alittle bitter about it before she shakes her head, smiling once more.]

Earth has been a wonderful home for me. It's beautiful in so many ways.

[norse]

[ Going to take that hint and tactfully move on. ]

It is. In which way do you most favour it?

The plants and the animals for one thing. My leader took an interest in the planet's creatures and swore to protect them, as we still do today.

[norse]

Then I have found a kindred guardian of Earth. We should speak more later, Lady Pearl, perhaps when I am not interrupting your recruitment for trainees.

[beyourrock]

Oh you're not interrupting at all! However, with the current circumstances between humans and goblins, it's probably for the best.

None the less, I would love to converse sometime!
