Looks like ALASTAIR's assembled a whole collection of characters from across the universes, huh? Pardon my asking, but what're your homelands like? Figure if I'm not gonna go elsewhere anytime soon, it'd be interesting to hear about yours. Since, you know - we've got a bit of downtime.

Honestly, I hated it! It was too hot and sunny! Not that I can feel temperature, but it was overall, very terrible there! Two out of ten stars! I would never go back!

Nami, right? From Luffy's crew? ( his grin is sheepish, slightly apologetic, and he waves a little. ) Fancy seein' you here. It's... a little weird, I know.

My world is composed of four lands: Westeros, Essos, Sothoryos and Ulthos. I resided in Westeros before I was taken; in a region known as the Eyrie. I have been told that my world is "medieval" and...out of date? Knights are common - as are Lords, Ladies and even Kings.

Out of date, huh? Maybe not by my world's standards - there's whole countries out there still buried deep in tradition. Clinging fast to old wives' tales and centuries-old beliefs, all that kind of stuff. We've got kings too, though - both on land and out on the sea.

Sounds like we've already got a good place to start! These seraphims y'mentioned aren't a common thing in the rest of the worlds, I take it?

Not that I can tell from others I've talked to here. I know some assumed seraphim were like gods or angels from the name, when I tried to explain. But I guess most might say they are sort of...like an elemental spirit? Most humans back home can't see or hear them because they have such a lower level of resonance - like a spiritual sense? But I grew up with seraphim, in the village of Elysia, so I can see and hear them just fine. My best friend is a water seraph.

[That should at least be some basic start to explaining? Sort of. It probably only raises a lot more questions, but it's a start.]

Any story or do you want good ones? Cause, they're all pretty lousy.

[Mostly just stories that amounted to, 'And then somebody stabbed somebody else' or 'the one time I almost got sold to a child-murderer'.]

Rest of what I've seen was pretty dull. Lots of quiet villages and a few rich towns. I get more fun outta missions than just dealing with the locals.

I'll admit I'm curious to hear about other worlds as well. There seems to be a number of humans here, and it's strange to think that they're on so many worlds.

I come from Thedas. [And he's a little stuck on where to go from there. It occurs to him that he doesn't know what's 'normal' for other worlds and not worth mentioning and what's strange.]

There's... humans, elves, dwarves, and Qunari mostly? We don't really have much of the technology that others here seem used to. Otherwise I'd say we don't have anything that I've noticed as strange to others, but I haven't done much asking either.

Do you have magic and demons and spirits in your world?

Tell me about it. Wouldn't exactly call myself narrow-minded but it's kinda incredible finding out about these other places all the same.

'Bout your question, though - I guess the devil fruits would count as something 'magical' - assuming y'mean some special ability that regular people don't have. As for demons and spirits, well -- haven't seen any of those yet, but they exist somewhere, I'm sure.

I suppose it might, although in Thedas magic is magic and people sometimes have other strange abilities as well that aren't magical exactly. But they come from training and hard work, not a fruit, so maybe it's not that different.

What makes you so sure that demons and spirits exist if you've never seen them? Do you have the Fade as well?

[He somewhat doubts that's the case considering the Fade's origin as he understands it, but perhaps it's possible.]

[Sanji's reaction to seeing this particular face and hearing this particular voice all of a sudden is not too unlike Nami's. He'll never forget the feeling that hit him when he read about Ace's death, the way his stomach dropped and worry and rage burned hot in his chest.

So it's... a shock. To see and hear the other Pirate here. To have him talking and whole and alive. It's enough that the cigarette Sanji had been smoking falls from slack lips and a dropped jaw, smoldering against the ground until he gets his wits about him and stomps it out.

The upside, he hadn't started replying yet. So he can take a moment and light a cigarette, can stand and smoke and breathe until the shock fades back into something a little more manageable.

So when he does respond, he's grinning, even if he does still looks like he can't quite believe what he's seeing.]

Don't think I can tell you anything you don't already know, unless you want to hear about Skypiea or the Florian Triangle.

the strawhats' cook seems composed enough, though ace still picks up on the hints of incredulity, figures he's probably from the same point in the timeline as law and the navigator. not that it makes very much of a difference; sanji still gets a wide, easy grin in response too. ) Hey - who knows? I haven't been all around. Been a while, Sanji.
