Well now. This is all hell of a thing -- ALASTAIR, savin' worlds, temporal bugs full of acid an' whatnot -- but I've got a bit of a conundrum.
I'm a man of many skills, but a cobbler? Oh, far from it. And I've a pair of boots that are a bit in need of a rescue. Suppose I could take what I've been generously given by your very fine organization, but these are a bit near an' dear to my heart.
I don't suppose any of you wondrously talented individuals could help me out? I'd be very much obliged.

I've been a part of ALASTAIR for about eleven months now I think, oh it's so hard to tell sometimes so I will definitely try my best to answer any questions you might have!
Is there anything in particular you're curious about?
no subject
Suppose I just have a few. Such as, what type of expectations are made of us? And what the likeliness would be of being sent back where we're from without much indication.
no subject
There are many other people who've been here longer and — and have done more and —
[ wait no focus! he has questions! ]
Um. The only expectation that I know of is that we try our best.
We're given many different kinds of missions, and each one so far has asked different things of us...
But for each mission I've been a part of so far, a common theme seems to be teamwork.
We really are at our best when we work together.
As for going home... I've only known of a few who have managed it.
Recently someone was brought home and then fallen back without any warning, but I know of another who was given the chance to say goodbye before returning.
no subject
Teamwork, huh? Well, I'm a bit out of practice, but I can play nice.
I appreciate the advice. [mostly]
Well, I'm not eager to return anytime soon. Just figured I'd see what it was like if I'm suddenly tossed back home.

[ realizing how bad that sounds, she immediately hastens to explain: ]
That would rather stay than return, I mean!
There are a good number of us who would, actually... It's kind of surprising.
no subject
Though I suspect you understand that.
no subject
But if it helps you to know, some people are allowed to stay here for as long as they're willing.
no subject
That is indeed helpful. Thank you.
no subject
But, um. Is there anything else I can help you with?

[ and, after a moment, the video will switch on, and she will flash a shy smile and a wave. ]
And that's me!
What's your name?
no subject
Twisted Fate.
It's a pleasure, Olivia.

[ it's a sound that should be translatable enough, regardless of the language. but she certainly does look surprised, one hand flying up to cover her mouth. ]
Oh gosh, sorry. It's just that your clothing reminded me of someone...!
no subject
That a good thing or a bad thing?
no subject
no subject
Oh, so I would also be very dashing?
no subject
Oh gosh.
I mean—
Wouldn't you already know...!?

Awful flattering of you.

You're lovely when you blush.
no subject
You're, um. You're very kind.
But I know I just look like a bruised tomato...
no subject
My dear, if all tomatoes looked like you, I'd be more inclined to keep them in my salads.
no subject
You should. Tomatoes are good for you.
[ ... ]
I mean real tomatoes, not me—!
