[That's the only sound that comes out of the feed once it switches on; gold eyes blinking owlishly at the screen for a moment as Lapis realizes that yep, it's recording. Slowly opening her mouth to speak once more, before... something off-screen catches her attention. Prompting her to nod, before she turns her eyes back to the screen to focus on texting instead.]

so i guess this is the only way everyone can understand me, so i'll stick with this.

i know we have to deal with those bug things right now, but i've never really lived with.. other people before. besides my family, anyway. so there's something i want to get out of the way, since i know not everyone likes this kinda thing.

i have a ghost with me. [At least she's straight to the point.] most people can't see him but he's there.

[A pause, before she shifts underneath her to grab some of the sheets of her new bed that she's been sitting on - throwing them behind her. Which then land and drape over the invisible figure that was floating behind her, who puts his hands on his hips in a 'are you serious' manner - his new cloak allowing others to see the movement.]

i just figured it would be easier to let people know this way, rather than explaining it whenever i ask him to do something. also no, he won't haunt anyone or anything like that.

[This is clearly the best way to introduce herself, A+ Lapis.]

Cue more blinking, while ghost buddy kind of... floats off-screen. Lapis is old enough to handle this kind of thing herself! (though he'll still be watching) Though she's still very confused by it...]

movies? well, comedy movies mostly. though i haven't gone to see any in a while... why're you asking?

and wait, i don't know your name yet.

[ and it would be at this point that he'd invite her to a movie, only he just now realizes he has no idea where and how that could come to be in a place like this.

and so he finds himself backtracking a little. ]

i suppose so, though i've heard that comedy movies tends to be pretty popular.

[What is tact. Also what is going on, Lapis doesn't understand the thought process behind these questions.

And that one stumps her. What does she... do for fun? That's a good question...]

or go clothes shopping. i tend to spend most of my time working, to be honest.

i'm a medium, so i deal with troublesome ghosts. and other ghosts help me out, which is why i have one with me.

i'm not sure someone who hangs out with a ghost can be called cute.
