So, as it turns out, you probably really, really shouldn't be lookin' for our local angry dead elf guy.

Not that I was lookin', but he's out there and not doin' too great.

Anyway. Point is, if you need a drink, I'm feelin' generous enough to buy. Swing by, if you're feelin' it.

Oh yeah, Pete. Got your horse. Come get it, whenever.

( sounds like an incredible hazard to have on the team, at least to Peter. there's got to be a better solution than occasional explosions with a litany of people ending up injured or worse.

still, maybe that's not a popular opinion to voice, and he wisely keeps it to himself. )

I'm glad you're okay, for what it's worth. And I can pick up the horse whenever works for you.

( the talk of Koltira has Peter a bit on edge — the hero in him doesn't like ignoring a dangerous individual that is more than likely to strike again. still, he knows it's better to try and focus on something he can actually accomplish, and getting his trackers out would definitely be easier to start with. so he arrives at the saloon within the hour, and heads Fate's way when he enters. )

Never did I ever think I'd be showing up at a space saloon to pick up a metal horse, but here I am.

( life throws ya curveballs, it seems!! )

( oh no. this is a Problem. because no matter how terrible the joke, peter still laughs. don't reinforce that kind of behavior Peter Benjamin Parker!!! )

Might not be my name, but let me tell you, my fate got super twisted. Twisted and complicated. Practically a web...

( no reason for that symbolism, promise, hahahaha, moving on!!! )

He hasn't escaped, has he? I found that out the hard way, they're hard-wired to head home. Literally. Since, you know, they're programmed to.

( the kid with the too-big glasses is in there still, somewhere. he'll always be that little kid, holding onto memories of the parents he'd lost, no matter how tall he gets or how much time he has to recover.

still, he's better at keeping that to himself now, with age. )

Great, an ornery one, huh? Still, man, thanks. I promised a reward, you interested in a tricked-out steed?

( he nods at the mention of magic, trying to keep his expression serious. it's hard, because honestly he's incredibly intrigued by the possibility of what he can do to properly trick out a metal horse. )

It'll take me a day or two, maybe, but then I'll bring her along the saloon. Any color preferences? Fire red, alien green... wait, is alien green an offensive color name here?

( maybe... whoops )

Red and black. Doable. Definitely. Give me a couple days, and I'll let you know when she's good to go.

( in the meantime, he offers a hand and a grin. )

Thanks for the help, man.

( he really hopes he can figure something out about the bandit movement patterns from his tracker, and if he can't... well, it's been a way to keep him busy, at the very least. )
