It's occurred to me that since our membership shifts and our backgrounds vary so much, it might be good to compare what we're capable of. More to the point, I was thinking we might be able to help each other pick up relevant skills, if not hone the ones we already have.
If people are looking to train or think they could help others, why don't we discuss that here? I know at least a few of us don't have backgrounds in combat, for example. On our first day here I met someone who wasn't familiar with firearms but might get good use out of the skill, for another.
In my case, I have experience training others and can help with hand-to-hand combat. I can work with people ranging from average human strength to well above it. I've got some skill with swords and knives, but I wouldn't compare that to someone who specializes in them, and that's something I'd like to work on. In terms of non-combative skills, if someone wants to work on something like cooking, I'm reasonably helpful there.
Let's see how we can help each other improve.

we should have like a compiled "best of MAGITEK" list and this entire convo goes there, everything that leaves this guy's mouth (brain? it's not like he's talking) is pure entertainment gold

There needs to be a 'no brain to mouth filter' setting on the magitek. You clearly need it.

Do you miss your family a lot? Or I guess... were you planning on starting one?
[ 92% sure adults do things like that so sure, let's roll with the possibility. if he was, wouldn't this be an upsetting place........... no real way to know if or when you can settle down.................... ]

and she's reading the other replies while thinking "what do you say to someone when you might have made them think about something painful" and that means she's reading... what else he's saying.
and it doesn't make sense?
but then she thinks maybe she gets part of it, and she's frowning down at her jewel, and ah... ah, she doesn't want him to feel embarrassed. so here, in this post, she simply says: ]
May you find what you're looking for one day, sir.
[ while then sending him a direct message.............. off this post........... ]

[Today, anyway. He is in fact the shadiest doctor around... but he's banking on this guy not knowing that.]

And for your information, I was actually trying. A lot of people in this place seem to think there's something wrong with opening up.
What kind of bullshit logic is that? I mean fine, okay, everyone has things they'd rather keep to themselves. But honestly? How are we ever gonna get past the things we hate about ourselves if we don't admit that they're actually a part of us?

Also don't call me that. My name is Law.
[He doesn't know what a Green Day even is but he is pretty sure it's an insult in this case.]

"Law?"
Like as in, the law? No friggin' way.

You know, there are a lot of names that are also regular words, I don't see what's so unbelievable about "Law."
i...
Just sayin'.
ASHER
Technically you can name your child anything but that's not the point.
Maybe it's a weird name where you come from but there are a lot stranger names in Big Blue.
[There's also a lot more normal names too... but it's all relative, isn't it.]
