It's occurred to me that since our membership shifts and our backgrounds vary so much, it might be good to compare what we're capable of. More to the point, I was thinking we might be able to help each other pick up relevant skills, if not hone the ones we already have.
If people are looking to train or think they could help others, why don't we discuss that here? I know at least a few of us don't have backgrounds in combat, for example. On our first day here I met someone who wasn't familiar with firearms but might get good use out of the skill, for another.
In my case, I have experience training others and can help with hand-to-hand combat. I can work with people ranging from average human strength to well above it. I've got some skill with swords and knives, but I wouldn't compare that to someone who specializes in them, and that's something I'd like to work on. In terms of non-combative skills, if someone wants to work on something like cooking, I'm reasonably helpful there.
Let's see how we can help each other improve.
[ooc: Please feel free to thread-hop/jack here, that's what this is for!]

uh eXCUSE U
It doesn't have to be relevant right here — we did have to navigate on land in Zeta-12, didn't we? And have you forgotten the tornado? I knew it was coming before any of you had a clue! [ and that.... is literally only her bordering-on-supernatural sense for the weather, you can't teach that to anyone nami ]
Besides, I don't see anyone stating they have skills in bo staff, do you? Did you even read what others have offered?
Any currency would do! I can always change it to whichever local currency we need in our next mission back in Oska.
fite me
I did, apparently you didn't because the one who made a bulleted list has staff fighting on there.
Regardless, literally no one else is trying to charge people but you.
[He doesn't know enough about Nami's abilities to know that her Weather Sense isn't teachable but he also doesn't care.]
no thanks fite urself
That's Jin, you shouldn't pay him any attention! He's impolite and unhelpful, you're much better off learning from someone cute and nice like me! [ NAMI WHAT WORLD ARE YOU LIVING IN you were just as impolite and unhelpful in your single interaction with him.... ]
Isn't it better to pay a little for quality teaching, instead of settling for something worse for free? [ ~*~ sensibility ]
IM LAUGHING
Because charging your teammates for services everyone else is offering for free is super cute?
AND IM SORRY
Haven't you ever heard of not making girls work for free? This just proves it, you have no chivalry to speak of!!
Besides, where in my offer did I say I wanted money? If you have a useful skill to teach me, I'm game! You shouldn't go and assume you know everything, because that's definitely not cute at all!
no subject
In any case, looks like I've got enough to warrant teaching you something-- save for the bo staff. Thought all you had was your magic weather girl schtick.
MAYBE I WILL
If I wanted to learn from someone cute and nice I'd pick someone like Bepo or Olivia
[Definitely do not question the two options he's laid out there.... Nothing odd about either of them.]
Anyway, free things aren't always worse in quality, that's a leading question.
