It's occurred to me that since our membership shifts and our backgrounds vary so much, it might be good to compare what we're capable of. More to the point, I was thinking we might be able to help each other pick up relevant skills, if not hone the ones we already have.
If people are looking to train or think they could help others, why don't we discuss that here? I know at least a few of us don't have backgrounds in combat, for example. On our first day here I met someone who wasn't familiar with firearms but might get good use out of the skill, for another.
In my case, I have experience training others and can help with hand-to-hand combat. I can work with people ranging from average human strength to well above it. I've got some skill with swords and knives, but I wouldn't compare that to someone who specializes in them, and that's something I'd like to work on. In terms of non-combative skills, if someone wants to work on something like cooking, I'm reasonably helpful there.
Let's see how we can help each other improve.

honestly? that's a really smart offer, man. this place is overwhelming, even on our easier missions. someone to talk to is probably something we all can benefit from.

He'll give this person the benefit of the doubt.]
A lot of people I know don't like to talk about their problems. I guess it's because they think the other person will judge them for being weak, or stupid, or something...
I offered because I don't have any right to judge people about that kind of stuff. I'm just an average guy.
[And everyone else around here seems pretty damn super.]

as one of those people thats not great at the talking thing, i get it
but we deal with so much crap here, it's good to have an outlet.
average guys wouldn't offer to be emotional support to a team of people that really could use it. ( give yourself a little credit, Asher! ) maybe I'll take you up on it.

Maybe then the world would be a better place.]
You should, dude!
Sometimes it helps to know that somebody else is listening.
[It does for Asher, at least.]

it's just me listening to myself talk, lol, bless the poor souls that actually try sometimes
( seriously, stiles and gwen? they deserve an award, because Peter talks too much for his own good, most of the time. though never about anything important, that's what he needs to work on. )
i'm willing to give it a shot. for sure. & if you need the same, i'm here for you, too. peter parker, by the way. hi.

Maybe this guy just has the same name?]
C'mon!
Don't tell me you've never heard of that? You know, "Spider-Maaaaaan, Spider-Maaaaaaan...."
No?
[that was a botched attempt at communicating the 90s cartoon theme song through text]

no, I don't think so. sorry...
( HE HATES LYING (and said lie is gonna slap him right in the face if Asher hears Spider-Man is webslinging around) but he still can't let go of an identity that isn't even that secret anymore.
