It's occurred to me that since our membership shifts and our backgrounds vary so much, it might be good to compare what we're capable of. More to the point, I was thinking we might be able to help each other pick up relevant skills, if not hone the ones we already have.
If people are looking to train or think they could help others, why don't we discuss that here? I know at least a few of us don't have backgrounds in combat, for example. On our first day here I met someone who wasn't familiar with firearms but might get good use out of the skill, for another.
In my case, I have experience training others and can help with hand-to-hand combat. I can work with people ranging from average human strength to well above it. I've got some skill with swords and knives, but I wouldn't compare that to someone who specializes in them, and that's something I'd like to work on. In terms of non-combative skills, if someone wants to work on something like cooking, I'm reasonably helpful there.
Let's see how we can help each other improve.
[ooc: Please feel free to thread-hop/jack here, that's what this is for!]

im actually trying 2 help out here

I know that, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions, as they say. You keep saying things which are NOT helpful at all.
no subject
Are we gonna talk about the elephant in the room here, or...

I'm wasn't gonna rat you out here in public, but you've got some damage you're not letting on about and I guarantee you, keeping it bottled up will kick your ass eventually.
So when you decide to come clean and actually get some help for yourself, let me know.
Like it or not, I'm here for you.

Excuse me? You're not my therapist.
Why are you so invested in people you barely know? You don't get anything out of it.
no subject
I just do.
And that includes you, asshole.
no subject
You need to be careful about these things.

[That takes him a long time to send, believe it or not.
But ah, now they're getting somewhere.
Now he has something to feed into. He's learning to read between the lines. Is this why Keats shuts everyone out? Probably.]
Sure, sometimes I'll get my feelings hurt, but I know it's gonna be worth it.
[There will be people who will care back.
Right?
God, he's still waiting.]
You can't have highs without lows, bro.

Pain isn't worth it. What kind of dumb logic is that?
It's like a man going out in front of a firing squad and being happy that at least four people out of the five didn't shoot the bullet that killed him.
no subject
[He's not going down without a fight on this one.]
Have you ever been happy? Like legit.
I'm not talking about petty bull. I'm talking surreal shit, like, when you're with somebody you love and you're feeling some type of way.
no subject
I think I have, yes. What does it matter?
no subject
If that was the end result, would you do it?
no subject
[He thinks of Ellen.]
[He thinks of Olivia.]
I can't say.
But I know that sort of stuff never lasts anyways.
Besides, wouldn't the pain just taint that?
no subject
It can last.
[That's what he believes at least.]
You'll find it, I promise you.
You just have to fight a little harder, I think.
no subject
And how should I fight, exactly?
no subject
I'm not too sure about the specifics, but it doesn't seem like you're a big fan of who you are as a person.
Trust me, I know what that's like. God! Do I freakin' know.
Work on thing things you don't like about yourself, maybe. Do something nice for someone else. Try and have a laugh with somebody.
You might have to figure it out on your own.

[hahhHAHAHA NO]
And I'll do what I want to do. You don't know how I feel, okay?
no subject
Again, if you ever wanna make that call, I'll be right here.
no subject
Watch your mouth, okay?
no subject
[keats have u even seen him like hell he's gonna do that]
It's okay if you aren't ready right now.
Just, whenever. Let your boy know.
no subject
We'll see.
