It's occurred to me that since our membership shifts and our backgrounds vary so much, it might be good to compare what we're capable of. More to the point, I was thinking we might be able to help each other pick up relevant skills, if not hone the ones we already have.

If people are looking to train or think they could help others, why don't we discuss that here? I know at least a few of us don't have backgrounds in combat, for example. On our first day here I met someone who wasn't familiar with firearms but might get good use out of the skill, for another.

In my case, I have experience training others and can help with hand-to-hand combat. I can work with people ranging from average human strength to well above it. I've got some skill with swords and knives, but I wouldn't compare that to someone who specializes in them, and that's something I'd like to work on. In terms of non-combative skills, if someone wants to work on something like cooking, I'm reasonably helpful there.

Let's see how we can help each other improve.

No, not unless I need to for a school project. Do you?

I write for a living. It's a little bit like keeping a record of everything that happens.
Which is why I am a Qualified Selfie Mentor, of course.

I still don't think I understand the point with these selfies, but I think I understand why writing and um. Chronicling? That's related to record keeping, right? I can see why they'd relate.

Record keeping is pretty important. That way you can remember all the things that have happened, good and bad and the rest. I guess that's why ALASTAIR asked people to look for those holodiscs, too.

Selfies are a lot like you're keeping a record of yourself, for all the reasons you just mentioned. You can look back and see how far you've grown. I think ALASTAIR would like that sort of record too, it's very personalized.

Exactly - those holodiscs have something on them that is useful. It might even pertain to what's going on right now.

Don't you usually keep photo albums or make marks on the door for that stuff? Though I guess it's good to know. If you're really teaching about it.

Mm, something that ALASTAIR forgot about, but I feel you're right. It probably has something to do with what's going on in this place. Earthquakes and everything else.
