It's occurred to me that since our membership shifts and our backgrounds vary so much, it might be good to compare what we're capable of. More to the point, I was thinking we might be able to help each other pick up relevant skills, if not hone the ones we already have.

If people are looking to train or think they could help others, why don't we discuss that here? I know at least a few of us don't have backgrounds in combat, for example. On our first day here I met someone who wasn't familiar with firearms but might get good use out of the skill, for another.

In my case, I have experience training others and can help with hand-to-hand combat. I can work with people ranging from average human strength to well above it. I've got some skill with swords and knives, but I wouldn't compare that to someone who specializes in them, and that's something I'd like to work on. In terms of non-combative skills, if someone wants to work on something like cooking, I'm reasonably helpful there.

Let's see how we can help each other improve.

I wonder how the Audentes would look if they could choose who to pick, instead of being saddled with the likes of us.

These bonds are--
[ She really has no understanding of the physics here, only the mythology, the feel of things. ] A glass is a glass, rather than sand, because of these bonds that hold them in place. Severe them and you get ash and dust.

I wonder if the other teams might give a better image of that than ours? As far as I've been told, at least some of their recruits are volunteers. I get what you're saying, though; for all that we've plenty of powerhouses here, I'm... almost certain they'd not pick up actual children if they had their druthers.

I'm assuming you're not speaking literally of ashes and dust.
[Sorry, ma'am, he's one of those.] Is there an example you can give me>

Have we no volunteers in Audentes?

I am. I can reduce bricks to dust, but I didn't mean the bonds between people -- which I hope is stronger than even the force that holds a stone together.
