It is my understanding that we were gathered to function as a team. A concept that is, perhaps, difficult for many of us to become accustomed to, but a path we have had no choice but to take in any case.

Yet here we are, already faced with danger enough from our missions, and we are equally forced to fear one of our own as well?

Explain to me why we should endure the presence of a monster who cannot keep his nature in check. How many were injured by Koltira's hand, yet all of us remain silent.

[ She sees the number of people standing up for Koltira — but she also sees 'okami's stubbornness, not unlike her own. She's only spoken to Koltira once, but...

When she speaks, it's quiet, calm. ]

... You speak of a monster— but I have yet to meet a monster who feels remorse for their wrongdoings. Koltira, however, does.

Could we truly function as a team if one of our own cannot forgive, and we cannot trust each other?

... [ A slow exhale. ] No, it cannot.

Nothing can undo what has been done. [ Least of all revenge. ] I believe the fact that he feels remorse is enough to at least consider an alternative. One that does not involve accusing him of a a monster.

If you do not wish to forgive, that's not my decision to make — but we cannot function as the team you spoke of if we're at odds with one another.

No.

Something must be done so this does not happen in the future. [ That much is true. ] And he is still responsible for what he has done. [ There's just better ways to go about this that doesn't involve fighting each other. ] ... I don't have all the answers, but I don't think this will help matters, either.

... Of course. [ She knows that "intent" and "action" are very different things. ] But — and I do not wish to speak on Koltira's behalf — I don't think he considers himself innocent, either.

[ She takes comfort in the fact that Koltira's not being called a monster now, but a man. Progress is... being made... maybe??? ]

... Do you believe that publicly accusing him will provide the answer you wish for? [ Nothing about her voice implies aggression — in fact, she sounds curious, inquiring after his opinion. ]

... An accusation does not have to be false. [ She's projecting, a little. But that's not the point she's trying to make.

There's silence on the line. Her voice edges on sadness when she speaks again. He didn't answer her question — ]
Did you believe that this would provide you with the acknowledgement you wished for?

Hm.

[ And then, quieter — ] I ... sincerely hope it brought you what you were wishing for. [ They have their differences, certainly, but a comrade isn't being called a monster anymore, and Okami wouldn't have acted that way unless he had a good reason to. At least, that's what she thinks. ]
