[When the feed starts, there's initially a frowning green eye and light brown bangs, before Sakura holds her necklace a little farther in recording, trying to check it.]

Um, this is....this is working, right? I've only replied to others with this so far. Ah, I think that's it!

[Well. She guesses it is working anyway. There's a shift of movement as she gets a little more comfortable, sitting cross-legged on her bed and brushing some bangs from her face, biting her lip and taking a deep breath before starting.

I'm Sakura! I just wanted to thank everyone that's helped me here so far. I know this isn't easy and there's....a lot going on, but if we work together, we'll figure it out and get home! I'm sure of it! I heard others also got things? Some from home, or animals or something? I got a new spell. So, I wanted to let everyone know I can help if you get hurt, okay? Or, I can try. At least try help with the worst of it until we get you somewhere safe to a doctor, I mean.

[Is she rambling? Possibly. A little. But she figures the more help she can offer, the more useful she would be and this way people would know to potentially come seek her if they were injured, right? If she doesn't say anything, how are they supposed to know who might be able to assist them if they were to get hurt in more fighting or something? Not to mention finally mentioning the other magic she has available.]

Besides the Clow cards, this is one other way I can help. I want to do my best. To get all of us back home! Or....those that want to go back, anyway. I know I was in the middle of things, so. I can't be the only one. But I can't do anything about that from here, so I just have to do my best to get home and figure it.

[But. That's not why she's talking like this. Sakura shakes her head, giving a light laugh and looking almost sheepish for trailing off like that, almost apologetic.]

A-anyway, I guess that was the main thing. Other than wondering what everyone else makes of all this. The...the warning. And at that last festival, I mean. What we can do about this? And the sun. I should-- this is enough. Um, thanks for listening!

[As if this were some speech at school. She gives a slight bow of sorts, the motion of it swaying her necklace before she turns it off, rather flushed but pleased with herself at the same time in that last glimpse. She has been meaning to speak up with the necklace for a while and just been so busy and distracted with everything.]

[Considering the things she'd be worried about getting damaged are decidedly not human in nature, the spell probably won't work.]

Well, I haven't tried it on someone that isn't human....not yet anyway. So I'm not sure if that will work or not.

[A pause. As she kind of stares a little, noting the gem at Peridot's forehead. So familiar.....give her a moment. Then she gasps, pointing at the necklace.]

Um...do--do you know Pearl-san by any chance?

[ Cue Peridot making an absolutely disgusted expression. ]

Yes, I unfortunately do.

It's just, you both have the....

[Pointing to her forehead to indicate the Gem.]

But it would be useful to know, if I can heal others too. So let me know if you need help, okay? I can at least try.

Yes, I know we both have a Gem. We're from the same species.

I most likely won't need it. But fine. I'll... Let you know.

Oh! I thought you might be. We didn't have Gems back home. Or, I mean. We did, but they were just....just stones and rocks. Not like you two.

[There's a shrug, before she gives a nod of agreement.]

Yes. I'm not saying you or anyone should get hurt on purpose for me to try this and practice, but if you do need it.

I know, I've heard this before. Some humans had Gem interaction on their planet, and some didn't. I'm chalking it up to alternate timelines.

Well, I don't--I don't know you or a lot of people here that well, so. I thought I should mention it just in case.....

[Because. After her experiences back home. She's not sure much if any behaviour or any magic might really surprise her anymore.]

Oh please. Do you just come across people on a regular basis who would put themselves in danger just because? Maybe a human would, because you all have awful survival instincts, but I'm not from Earth, and I like living.

It's usually an accident. Or we're trying to protect others. But that's fine.

R-right. So....so, I've seem some of what Pearl can do, with her sword fighting and ballet and um, holograms. What about you? Can all Gems do things like that? It's pretty amazing!

[....Yes. Yes, Peridot, you are now frands and she wants to get to know you better. Because of course she does, this is Sakura.]

It's not amazing. Her abilities are inferior to what a real quality fighter of a Gem can do. So what if she can twirl a stick around? She's nowhere near as strong as a Quartz.

[ Good luck befriending Little Miss Bitter over here. ]

It's a shame the first interaction with a Gem you're having is with one as defective as her.

Inferior? I thought she was doing really well. She was teaching me more techniques at least. A Quartz? How is Pearl defective? Is there something wrong with her? Is she okay?

[Is she broken somehow? Is something wrong? Pearl please be okay. This is news to her when Sakura barely knows the half of the whole situation with the Gems and all. Still. She can try. Whether Peridot accepts said friendship is another story, of course.]

She's inferior because she's a Pearl. And she's defective because she's acting this way. It's simple.

I know you humans are slow on the uptake, so I will volunteer my time and be educational. Gems are a different species. We work differently. And we have different standards. For example. Name something that a human person shouldn't do in front of other other human persons.

Are Gems not supposed to act like Pearl does then? I didn't think there was anything wrong. But, you're right. I am a different species so what I think of as normal, you might not. I guess I didn't really think or need to worry on that sort of thing back home.

[Because. Everyone was human. Well, barring Kero and Yue anyway.]

Something a human shouldn't do in front of others? Oh, like changing clothes?

Yes. Changing clothes. A Gem has no problem doing this in front of others. However, a Pearl acting like she's important is not acceptable.

Do you get it now?

I....I guess? I just never really thought about that. Since everyone I knew back home was human.

[Sure, there's different cultures and all, but Sakura hadn't really traveled to get to actually immerse herself in that and experience it, even if she reads about it sometimes.]

Well, think about it now. You can no longer claim ignorance.

No. Not if you and Pearl help explain the differences to me. I wouldn't want to upset you or her by not knowing.

[That actually seems rather likely the case, with people from so many different worlds around here, even. Now she wonders if she did upset someone without realizing it before now....]

Well. You're lucky. I'm a Gem expert. More so than Pearl. It's my job on our Home World to know everything there is to know about Gems. So if you have any questions, you should ask me, not her.

An expert? Wow! Okay, if I have any questions, I'll ask you then!

[After all, Pearl is already helping her a lot with sword training. And she has others she is assisting in that too. So it wouldn't seem fair to always go to her if Sakura has another source of information on the Gems.]

I am! I don't know anything much about Gems, and I'm not sure if there would be anything in the library if I did look there. So it's great to have an expert if I have any questions. I'm not sure if I would really call myself an expert in anything....

[Athletics maybe? Even then she still does have her clumsy moments at times when she gets distracted. Or the Clow Cards, but that is more out of necessity and duty in trying to keep everyone else safe from them.]
