[ Really, she had hoped to get her thoughts out about this sooner, but there are things she wants to Address and get people to think about now that it seems like a new year is upon them. It makes sense after the Christmas/Yule w/e celebrations that had taken place. For any that may know her though, she definitely seems very upbeat today. ]

Good day, everyone. [ It's the first time she's actually addressed the magitek like this though, which is why she tries to keep as formal as possible from the get go. ] My name is Sonia Nevermind, some of you may know me, others may not -- if that is the case, it is a pleasure to meet you now.

I was wondering... is it common for people of your worlds to make New Years Resolutions? This is where you make promises or goals for yourself for the new year.

For me, this year I hope to get stronger, so I may protect those I care about. I wish to learn more about medicine, to ensure that those with healing skills are not tiring themselves out. [ She's ticking these off with her fingers as she goes. ] I wish... to be more honest, about past instances that were beyond my control... but I feel are important to share with friends. I wish to spend more time with others, and learn more about the different cultures and languages we have within our team. If you were to consider this now... what would you choose?

Also, as we have been in good spirits recently, I also hoped we may try to get to know one another better with a game? There is one called "2 truths 1 lie", I believe, where we share two pieces of information that are "real" along with one piece of information that is a lie. As I understand, this is a hella good game to bond. For example: "I can speak 30 languages." "I have got a sister." "I can pilot a helicopter." Which one is incorrect?

[ Just like here could be home, if they really wanted it to be. It might not be the same, but honestly she only has a makeshift home to go back to--and even that might end in disaster. She isn't sure. Her friends are the foundation and the anchor there, nothing else now. ]

[But then he laughs, and it's a strange hollow sound. Home is what you make of it. Not his home-- it is what it is, and he accepts it utterly despite that it isn't a home at all, just a deep ugly pit where monsters are spawned and forced to tear each other apart.

But it's his. It's where he belongs. This place-- he doubts he'll ever get used to it.]

[ She doesn't laugh, but she does stay quiet for a moment. The chances that others can truly understand this when they're both speaking another language is... slim. It shouldn't be auto translated, anyway. ]

[ A truly apolocalyptic state. Fires have burned through countries. People have fallen into despair. Suicide rates are at around 40% a day or something ridiculous. It's like living in hell -- or in her case waking up into hell. She doesn't and won't go into more detail than saying it's in ruins though, because it isn't necessary. She's doing it more so he can understand that you can choose if you want to. ]

Meine Welt war schon immer ein verderblicher Ort. Aber es ist mein Zuhause. Es wird immer sein.

[Perhaps not apocolyptic, but it's a place of darkness and dispair and endless suffering for all those who inhabit it-- the shape of that suffering may differ from place to place, person to person, but nothing good can thrive there.

Still. It's all he's ever known. This place, the people here-- they confuse him. Make him feel unsteady, more uncertain than ever before.]

[ People grow accostomed to it either way. Her own country was riddled with war to the point that elementary school children are taught to drive a tank and operate other heavy weaponry. She doesn't know much else either, other than what she's seen on televisions or experienced for a short while in a crazy school in Japan. ]

[Even though there's no future for him, even though he knows without ALASTAIR's intervention his memory will start to deteriorate again-- still, he wants to go back. He needs to end things on his terms, he hopes, and above all else...it's what he knows. The only home he's ever had.]

[ Though it may take a little time, she believes that. She has friends in a coma waiting for her at home as well, and while being here is actually easier for her--she doesn't want to give up on them either. ]

[He wants it to be true. Fears it, yes, but also wants it. Whether he believes it's going to happen or not, he's unsure.]

[ For her... she only wants to get her friends and bring them here if possible. Home is not a safe place for them now, even if they really should be working to fix things it's just... it seems impossible after only being awake for one day and witnessing everything that went wrong. ]

[Whereas he wants to go back, wants to engage Heine in one last standoff, push him enough that he loses control and the Dog takes centre stage, tears him apart as it did to Lily back then. Ends this before there's not enough of him left to know what's going on anymore. Bring things around, full circle.

[ Probably for the best, she's seen enough destruction in her life now, she doesn't need to imagine that as well. ]

[It's a random guess, based only on the fact that he, himself, is good with a gun, finds it hard to imagine not being so. And whilst he has never read anyting called 'American Psycho' himself, it sounds like it might be fun.]

[ It sure is a "fun" book, but given her obsession with serial killers it makes the most sense. ]

[he isn't obsessed with serial killers himself, but he does enjoy a spot of violence. Sees the bright side of brutality, as it were. Hahah.

[ She just has a sick fascination with it, to the point where she's read cases with torture and knows... various torture methods. Who knows how or why that started. ]
