[ Really, she had hoped to get her thoughts out about this sooner, but there are things she wants to Address and get people to think about now that it seems like a new year is upon them. It makes sense after the Christmas/Yule w/e celebrations that had taken place. For any that may know her though, she definitely seems very upbeat today. ]

Good day, everyone. [ It's the first time she's actually addressed the magitek like this though, which is why she tries to keep as formal as possible from the get go. ] My name is Sonia Nevermind, some of you may know me, others may not -- if that is the case, it is a pleasure to meet you now.

I was wondering... is it common for people of your worlds to make New Years Resolutions? This is where you make promises or goals for yourself for the new year.

For me, this year I hope to get stronger, so I may protect those I care about. I wish to learn more about medicine, to ensure that those with healing skills are not tiring themselves out. [ She's ticking these off with her fingers as she goes. ] I wish... to be more honest, about past instances that were beyond my control... but I feel are important to share with friends. I wish to spend more time with others, and learn more about the different cultures and languages we have within our team. If you were to consider this now... what would you choose?

Also, as we have been in good spirits recently, I also hoped we may try to get to know one another better with a game? There is one called "2 truths 1 lie", I believe, where we share two pieces of information that are "real" along with one piece of information that is a lie. As I understand, this is a hella good game to bond. For example: "I can speak 30 languages." "I have got a sister." "I can pilot a helicopter." Which one is incorrect?

[ She's been forced into a murder game where their friends killed each other so she Knows trust can be misplaced too... but when it's placed correctly it can make you stronger too. ]

Though she has also lied about a lot as well, which is something she's going to slowly work out over time... when she gets to know people better. ]

[ Her head tilts and her eyes move to the side briefly, like she's thinking it over. ] You mean this game? Mm... I suppose that is true, but you are not meant to divulge information that is too private. Likes, dislikes, funny or strange things about yourself. I am not asking for people to offer their life story, nor will I offer mine without prior commuincations.

[ There's a very long pause for a moment where she opens her mouth like she's going to ask something, but it doesn't come out right away. Maybe it is too relaxed for some people, especially as he seems like someone who is very focused but... ]

Does that mean you already do a little? [ She's not counting on much as they haven't spent that much time together yet but she does sound hopeful. ]

Qué?! It... is not a toy. "YOLO" means "you only live once". It is quite common slang.

If it was common, I'd know it. It can't be that common ... or maybe it's just "common" where you come from.

It is probably due to different universes. After all, I am doubtful that ours is the same.

This doesn't have anything to do with prescripting kids in the military, does it?

[ Her arm reaches across to grip the other before she can stop herself, and while she tries to keep her expression the same, her eyes definitely give her away when they dip too low. Even smiling probably can't help when she softly says: ]

Well, good. That'd be a messed up motto to tell to people before they're stuck doing that.

[ It's a good thing in this case... her world is actually in an apocolyptic state at this point. Many people have already lost their chance at living once. Good times... ]

It is just something I have heard from other cultures in dramas, actually. There is also a song based on the ideal. It is more meant to encourage others to take chances in life.

Oh ... yeah, I take a lot of chances.

[Just over things that usually involve the word "fight" in some way.]

Then perhaps you are already following the motto without realising it.

I suppose it is a strange thing to say, but I suppose I should say it is something you follow in your heart, rather than say normally.
