[ Really, she had hoped to get her thoughts out about this sooner, but there are things she wants to Address and get people to think about now that it seems like a new year is upon them. It makes sense after the Christmas/Yule w/e celebrations that had taken place. For any that may know her though, she definitely seems very upbeat today. ]

Good day, everyone. [ It's the first time she's actually addressed the magitek like this though, which is why she tries to keep as formal as possible from the get go. ] My name is Sonia Nevermind, some of you may know me, others may not -- if that is the case, it is a pleasure to meet you now.

I was wondering... is it common for people of your worlds to make New Years Resolutions? This is where you make promises or goals for yourself for the new year.

For me, this year I hope to get stronger, so I may protect those I care about. I wish to learn more about medicine, to ensure that those with healing skills are not tiring themselves out. [ She's ticking these off with her fingers as she goes. ] I wish... to be more honest, about past instances that were beyond my control... but I feel are important to share with friends. I wish to spend more time with others, and learn more about the different cultures and languages we have within our team. If you were to consider this now... what would you choose?

Also, as we have been in good spirits recently, I also hoped we may try to get to know one another better with a game? There is one called "2 truths 1 lie", I believe, where we share two pieces of information that are "real" along with one piece of information that is a lie. As I understand, this is a hella good game to bond. For example: "I can speak 30 languages." "I have got a sister." "I can pilot a helicopter." Which one is incorrect?

Of course! That was the joy of the ball, I think. We could all spend time together in a light atmosphere.

[ Except for the part where Urahara made her cry, but we don't talk about that. ]

That is quite interesting, however. It is a shame we do not have photographs here, it would be nice to see them.

[ A beat, then: ] Honesty is a better quality than being a liar, please do not worry about it.

For my turn I shall say... I enjoy desserts the most. My favourite drink is coffee. My castle at home has a subterranean labyrinth.

[She looks sheepish, but pleased at all that, before.....well. She and Syaoran were always the only two to actually fall for their classmate's tall tales.]

A-- a labyrinth? Really?! That's amazing!

[assent]

[ That's really sweet though... and honestly Sonia is the same... or was. Only the tales were probably less innocent than Sakura's so we won't go into that.

She smiles when she responds that way... only to whisper: ] Only those that venture into the tunnels there never return.

[ Don't tell horror stories to a young girl, Sonia??????? ]

Th--this isn't a ghost story, is it? There aren't ghosts at your castle?

[Because well. Thanks to Touya, Sakura grew up sensing them but being unable to see the spirits of those that had passed, so it terrified her.]

[assent]

No... thankfully not. [ Hearing her reasponse at least makes her backtrack. ] It is true that some people have died while trying to infiltrate the castle, however.

[ Is that much better... smh ]

[keystaff]

They died....?

[She does not necessarily like where this is heading. Sakura has never been the best with horror stories. Even silly children's ones the class tell over campfires at trips together or the like.]

[assent]

I apologise... this truly is not a very pleasant story. [ She regrets bringing it up. Ah. ] There are towers, however, and they have wonderful views. If only I could show you.

[keystaff]

Views from a tower....I wonder if that's similar at all to the towers in Tomoeda, or Tokyo.

[Though that is less castles and more landmarks, really.]

[assent]

O-oh! It is not as high as Tokyo tower, nor is the landscape anything quite as similar. My country's buildings are all quite old.

[ Like... Europe often is tbh. ]

I wish I could see. I mean, I've read stories with princesses living in castles but I'm sure that's not the same sort of thing as seeing it yourself.

[It's always one thing to hear or read about something, another to experience it in person for yourself.]

[assent]

I wish you could too. Perhaps one day I will be able to request photographs?

[ Though she'd have to ask for... past photographs. Things are Not The Same now. ]

Oh! That would be neat! I hadn't thought of that. I guess photos would be neat to show others where we're from back home!

[She's not sure there's anything particularly remarkable of Tomoeda but even so.]

[assent]

I think so as well! I am not certain if it would be possible, but the idea of it would be nice.

[ Many people know very little of her country so for that part it would be good. ]

[keystaff]

I'm sure you could ask. ALASTAIR gives us various things sometimes every so often. I know I'd like to see and learn more about everyone's home. There's a lot we could learn, all being from such different places!

[assent]

And the library does contain some information... there might be ways of showing other people photographs from travel books or something similar, perhaps? That would be nice.

[keystaff]

Maybe. Or -- oh! I know! What if we all made our own books, with our own drawings of things from home?

[assent]

That would work too, I think! Though I am not sure how many of us can draw here. I am... decent, though there are people better at it than me as well.

[ She isn't the super high school level artist, after all. ]

[keystaff]

It'd take us time. But we have some quieter moments in between missions, so...I think we could figure it. I'm not the best with art either, Tomoyo-chan is good at it though! But I guess she needs to be, with how she likes to make me clothes.

[She gets sidetracked when thinking of her friends rather often actually. This is hardly the first time.]

[assent]

Your friend makes you clothes? That's very impressive! Does she wish to go into the fashion industry? Though you are quite correct, it is quieter now we are back in Oska.

[ It's the same for Sonia, so no worries there! ]

Well, her mum runs a toy company. But Tomoyo-chan is good at sewing and singing. I'm not sure what she'll decide to do when she's older but. I'm sure she'll be good at it! She's amazing!

[As for Oska, well. It's not quite always quieter, but in comparison to their missions, anyway.]

I'm not sure how much time we'd have on missions if we wanted to try making our own books about home, but. It could be fun. And I would like to hear about everyone else's homes.

[assent]

She sounds like such a wonderful friend! You must be very proud of her.

[ Of course she's only going to encourage this kind of talk. ]

I agree. Perhaps at the start it will not be so bad? Encouraging others to try may be what the biggest problem would be.

I am! I've missed her, but it's probably better she isn't here.

[Tomoyo is amazing, but these missions would likely be beyond her, distracting Sakura from helping as much as she could with worrying for her friend in all of this.]

Maybe if we use the jewelry again later to see what everyone thinks of the idea?

If she does not have magic like you do, then probably so. It is rather dangerous here.

[ And when you're worrying about someone else, you aren't on top of your game. ]

That sounds like a wonderful plan, I think!

She doesn't, no. But she's still helped me a lot back home. What with making me clothes and filming things and all.

[Just generally being awesome and supportive of Sakura in general. Pretty much.]

Do you think before or after this next mission? I could do it, see what everyone thinks.

That is helpful. She films what you do at home, then? It is a shame we cannot watch them here.

[ Anyone who is a positive influence is a good bean, obviously. ]

I suppose it depends on what the next mission will be? It may be a nice break after it to offer a glimpse from home... We do not know what it will be yet though, do we?
