[ Really, she had hoped to get her thoughts out about this sooner, but there are things she wants to Address and get people to think about now that it seems like a new year is upon them. It makes sense after the Christmas/Yule w/e celebrations that had taken place. For any that may know her though, she definitely seems very upbeat today. ]

Good day, everyone. [ It's the first time she's actually addressed the magitek like this though, which is why she tries to keep as formal as possible from the get go. ] My name is Sonia Nevermind, some of you may know me, others may not -- if that is the case, it is a pleasure to meet you now.

I was wondering... is it common for people of your worlds to make New Years Resolutions? This is where you make promises or goals for yourself for the new year.

For me, this year I hope to get stronger, so I may protect those I care about. I wish to learn more about medicine, to ensure that those with healing skills are not tiring themselves out. [ She's ticking these off with her fingers as she goes. ] I wish... to be more honest, about past instances that were beyond my control... but I feel are important to share with friends. I wish to spend more time with others, and learn more about the different cultures and languages we have within our team. If you were to consider this now... what would you choose?

Also, as we have been in good spirits recently, I also hoped we may try to get to know one another better with a game? There is one called "2 truths 1 lie", I believe, where we share two pieces of information that are "real" along with one piece of information that is a lie. As I understand, this is a hella good game to bond. For example: "I can speak 30 languages." "I have got a sister." "I can pilot a helicopter." Which one is incorrect?

It is a pleasure to meet you, Nyuu. [ In return, Sonia doesn't bow her head but she does place a hand over her heart. ]

It would appear that we share one of those goals, since I also wish to become stronger to protect my friends, both here in Audentes and those back home.

I'm still scared about it, but I hope to overcome those fears.

What a wonderful goal, however. I am sure your friends will be grateful. Please remember to take care of yourself too, of course.

It is a scary thing, I know.

[She hums and nods.]

But my friends back home always told me that as long as you had an idea of what you want to do and stick to it, you will accomplish that goal, even if it takes longer than expected.

I know we just met, Sonia-san, but I still wish you good fortune for this new year.

That is a very good thing to listen to. It may take us longer than we like, but that does not mean the resolution is broken.

I wish the same to you too though, Nyuu. I hope this is a good year for you.

Now, shall I try to guess which one of the three pieces of information you have is a lie? [A gentle chuckle.] It sounds like an interesting game and I've never played it before, at least, not that I know of with my current memories.

Your current memories? Though please feel free! After you may offer three pieces of information in return if you would like.

It's a bit of a long story, but I'll explain it in a moment.

Hmm... [She curls an index finger and puts it to her lips in thought.]

I will say that the last one is incorrect, the one with the helicopter.

[assent]

Okie dokie. [ Sonia gives her a smile, though if it's like that it cannot be too bad, she hopes-- either way, she ends up shaking her head just slightly. ]

It is not that one, actually.

[scarredhorns]

Eh? [Her eyes widen with amazement.] So you can fly a helicopter? That's amazing!

[She then smiles sheepishly.]

Looks like I lost this round.

[assent]

I can. [ She does at least look a bit sheepish about it though. ]

That is quite alright. I actually do not have a sister... Would you like to offer information now?

[scarredhorns]

You're a very talented person, Sonia-san.

[A nod plus a bright smile.]

Yes, I would. Let's see... [She pauses for a moment to think. It would have to be something she's comfortable with letting everyone know.]

"These horns are real." "I have amnesia." "I can read people's minds." Which one is the lie?

[assent]

I just work very hard, that is all.

[ Though hmm, it's hard to say for the first one as clip-ons exist for everything nowadays, though they may also be real too. The second she would believe, simply because it's apparently not a rare thing here. The last... ]

Perhaps the last one?

[scarredhorns]

[Nyuu claps her hands.]

You're right, I don't have such a power.

[She doesn't quite know it just yet, but the power she's trying to learn how to use does have a connection with her own mind.]

Then my amnesia is why I mentioned my "current memories" earlier.

[assent]

I see. [ Sonia smiles at her, though it's in sympathy. ] I presume you are referring to the memories since your amnesia started, then?

[scarredhorns]

Yes, I was told that it all started six months ago. Ah, that is--six months before I ended up with ALASTAIR.

[assent]

I am sorry to hear that. Amnesia is very distressing, I am sure. Have you been well supported, however?

[ She hopes so, they haven't been talking too long but Nyuu seems nice. ]

[scarredhorns]

[She sends Sonia a reassuring smile accompanied by a single nod of her head.]

Yes, I've been fortunate to have great friends who are always looking out for me, they are like family to me. None of them are here, but I've made new friends in Audentes who have been just as kind and generous.

Despite how it may seem, though, I'm not bothered by my condition. I'm happy with my new life. [Her right hand comes to rest over her heart.] This is who I am now.

[And ever since she learned of Lucy's existence, she didn't really want to remember her past life.]

[assent]

[ Sonia lets out a soft breath of relief. ]

I am glad to hear that. There are some who might try to take advantage of it, I am glad to hear that you have good friends who have helped you through. You must be a very strong person.

Got to jump in bed now!

[scarredhorns]

[Nyuu blinks in surprise.]

Me? Strong? That's the last word I would associate with myself.

[She wasn't a fighter like many of the others in Audentes were. The mere sight of blood was enough to make her tremble.]

[ Sonia tilts her head slightly. ]

No? It takes a lot of courage to move on from an unknown past. Many would constantly wonder about where they have been or what they have done. I think in that way you are strong.

[ Back when she'd been in a virtual world and had her memory wiped, her and her friends had constantly sought answers. Constantly tried to get their memories back. ]

So then, strength doesn't have to be entirely physical? There are different types of strength?

[Though she's matured greatly since her battle with Mariko back home, Nyuu still had a lot of growing-up to catch up with, and that included developing her abstract thought process.]
