[Fiona is a little out of breath, like she just hustled very quickly away from somewhere. Which she did, but that's neither here nor there. The background behind her is some innocuous wood panelling; she's in a house.]

Okay. So. Crunch time. Things are getting nuts out there, if you didn't notice. We are gonna wind up super screwed if we don't hop to figuring out what the hell to do.

[She holds up a vial. It has some alien writing on it, as well as a familiar symbol on the label.]

We found this inside the hospital. A shit-ton of them, actually. So who wants to find out what Zymandis asshole is responsible for this mess and beat an antidote out of them?

[ ooc. PS, maya, hanzo, and mccree might show up in your threads. feel free to threadjack as well! ]

They certainly didn't intend to leave the destruction of the Qorral's timeline up to chance- even though it would have happened, eventually, they took it upon themselves to speed it up. So this does seem a bit... pointed.

It's the only reason I'm comfortable even voicing a concern it might be a trap- even if it isn't, we should still step carefully. They know our weaknesses now, and I think they're already exploiting quite a few of them as we speak.

It's a shame we don't have contact with other teams. If we did, we might be able to get a little more perspective on the situation, but...our lack of organization is a weakness unto itself.

[Which only makes it easier to take advantage, if that's what's going on]

This is at odds with what we've seen before. What little we do know doesn't support the use of such a slow method that might at most take out the population here after years, and that's supposing that no cure is found in all that time. [In short, it doesn't at all match what they've seen before] Whatever is going on, it seems like we need more intel.
predomination: EXECUTE ALL INVOLVED (⚛ what would soul society do?)

[personal profile] predomination 2017-02-28 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
And to get that, we'll need to find Percy-san, and perhaps whoever else is acting as Zymandis ground forces- I sincerely doubt he's acting alone.

[it's a puzzle to be sure, and not a fun one.] My, my to think it was almost simpler when we were in Perdition's Rest. At least we could limit who our enemies were by how small the town was.

[personal profile] ex_adept136 2017-02-28 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Agreed. I can't imagine only one person being sufficient for this kind of work.

[Although some of their associates seem to be satisfied with meting out justice in the form of pursuing Percy alone...]

We do have a challenge on our hands. And we can't even be sure what we're looking for. Last time we came to find it was the Taraxa, but now, who's to say?
predomination: noble houses are crushed. (⚛ civilizations are undone.)

[personal profile] predomination 2017-02-28 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
In a world like this, the Taraxa are the best suited, because they can blend in with the locals. I didn't notice that many true humanoids in the ones that tried to extract their fellows.

[it's something at least.] But if we have cloaking devices, there's no reason to believe they don't.

[always with the worst case scenarios, kisuke.]

If what we were provided in terms of data is accurate... We likely have both lesser numbers and lesser resources. So it wouldn't surprise me if they had anything at least as sophisticated as what we do.

[Or worse for them, even better reserves to draw from.

Finding out ALASTAIR splintered off from Zymandis puts things into a whole new perspective]
predomination: best served lukewarm. like pizza. (⚛ revenge is disappointing.)

[personal profile] predomination 2017-02-28 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
All the more reason to believe they have the potential to start Timeline altering events without them needing to be calculated to the fullest extent. Just think- this timeline could be a powder keg, ready to ignite at the slightest hint of instability from its population. They could just nudge it along by any means necessary.

[and yet...] And yet, you're right. This is slow, inefficient, so the real goal remains to be seen. Did they escalate an existing problem, manufacture the problem, or are they using the problem to serve their own ends?

[personal profile] ex_adept136 2017-03-01 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
I hope we have the opportunity to try and get some answers before people jump the gun.

[He's seen more than a few eager to seek retribution on the first suspect they've identified. And if he's killed before any attempts at getting information are made, where does that leave them?

Certainly no closer to finding out the how and why of this situation]

If our last mission is any indication of their typical approach...this is wildly aberrant. I can't imagine an organization that established would vary so severely in its methods when time is of the essence.
predomination: which is incidentally his greatest weakness. things being more important than him. (⚛ this is more important than aizen)

[personal profile] predomination 2017-03-03 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
If our team would just allow Loki-san and his sword to interrogate the man, it wouldn't even be an issue. We would have our answers and they could have their pound of flesh. [Urahara is extremely patient, but the general attitude, while he understands it, is so impractical.] Killing a Zymandis agent isn't wrong, per say, but killing our only potential lead is. We still don't know if he's the only agent here.

[personal profile] ex_adept136 2017-03-03 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
I think the best we can hope for is that Loki has the chance. It seems the general consensus is that the doctor should die...

[And while he has misgivings about that, he holds no illusions that he can do anything about it. They don't exactly have prison facilities to offer as an alternative.

So as much as he doesn't like it, he knows better than to argue]

So long as the only potential source of intel isn't destroyed before we find out more about the situation, at least there'll be a more concrete sense of what's going on here.
predomination: and jose cuervo made me ride the floor buffer. (⚛ IT WAS CAPTAIN MORGAN)

[personal profile] predomination 2017-03-06 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
And if we are exceedingly unlucky and the doctor dies before we can interrogate him, we'll have to figure out another plan. [well... he will.] Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

[personal profile] ex_adept136 2017-03-06 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
[Here's hoping people really do let Loki extract information first. Haise puffs out a tense sigh]

I'd like to think no one wants to go back, essentially, to square one... But you're right, all we can do is roll with the punches.
