[Fiona is a little out of breath, like she just hustled very quickly away from somewhere. Which she did, but that's neither here nor there. The background behind her is some innocuous wood panelling; she's in a house.]

Okay. So. Crunch time. Things are getting nuts out there, if you didn't notice. We are gonna wind up super screwed if we don't hop to figuring out what the hell to do.

[She holds up a vial. It has some alien writing on it, as well as a familiar symbol on the label.]

We found this inside the hospital. A shit-ton of them, actually. So who wants to find out what Zymandis asshole is responsible for this mess and beat an antidote out of them?

I found some myself, but I didn't check the size. I gave them to Sonia.

... I'm gonna follow up with her, just to see if she found anything.

If she's still got them, maybe we could, like, cross-reference. If the size matches... then it's likely one person. If not, it's several. Or possibly several, anyway.

[ that's not a bad idea!! he gave his to Peter but unfortunately, nothing was found on them... whoever put them in the bag must have wanted them to be squeaky clean. ]

I think she probably has them, anyway.

But that's what I was thinking.

[ he pauses. ] Though I'm guessing that he's not gonna be found in the sewers after this. [ if zymandis is aware of their team being here, they must have clued into the fact several members of audentes were searching the sewers, earlier. to think the agent would just stay there... it's too easy. ]

That's what I thought, too. And honestly, we don't know if that was a base of operations in the first place.

Right... he could've been there just because it was the easiest way to mobilize those who were already infected.

If we can't track him... we could try luring him out somehow. There's gotta be something we can do to find him quicker.

I just had a thought.

We know he's still ... here, right?

... oh my god.

[ jesus??? why didn't anyone else think of that yet.... probably because it'd pretty much kill all their chances at finding a quick solution to this whole thing. ]

I have no idea, but I really, really hope so.

I mean, logically, they did what they had to here, and we're no closer to finding a cure.

And I really do think the last thing Zymandis is is worried about us, even after our last mission.

Exactly. I wouldn't be surprised if they just left and let the virus do the rest of the work.

[ he sighs. ] Probably not... but that's pretty much our one lifeline. To hope that they've realized we're here and want to stick around to be sure we don't pull off the cure.

[secondnature]

Honestly, we have to be more worried that they'll lash out. But they haven't done anything to make this spread beyond this town, so ...

That's something. [Back home (read: in a cartoon universe), whenever threatened, the bad guys usually lash out in a crazy way.]
