[Fiona is a little out of breath, like she just hustled very quickly away from somewhere. Which she did, but that's neither here nor there. The background behind her is some innocuous wood panelling; she's in a house.]

Okay. So. Crunch time. Things are getting nuts out there, if you didn't notice. We are gonna wind up super screwed if we don't hop to figuring out what the hell to do.

[She holds up a vial. It has some alien writing on it, as well as a familiar symbol on the label.]

We found this inside the hospital. A shit-ton of them, actually. So who wants to find out what Zymandis asshole is responsible for this mess and beat an antidote out of them?

[Yaalu tilts his head slightly and hums. You're pretty easy to read, buddy.]

And it went [a beat] poorly, you think.

I guess it wasn't the worst it coulda been.

[They had at least managed to evacuate the Qorral.

Some people didn't manage to make it out of there.]

This team, don't get me wrong... It's got a lotta great people, and I believe that, I really do! It's just that...

We can't seem agree on a whole lot.

[In his opinion, they could work together just a little bit more.]

The missions from what I've seen so far are... Kind of shit-show status, If we're bein' reaaaally real.

[tragos]

[He snorts at that.]

We are eighty people from vastly different worlds. No matter how strong your own convictions, always there will be those who disagree. You cannot account for every variable, even if you try to plan around them.

Even the good ones go awry.

[moneyballer]

I know.

[Said softly.

This is also what happens when you put people on a team they didn't necessarily plan to be on or want to be a part of.]

It sounds like the other teams don't have it as bad as we do.

And maybe that's our deal, y'know? Like, this team's got a whole buncha drama queens on it, and we just have to learn to deal with each other.

[Himself included.]

I'm not gonna count us out just yet.

We might be able to pull through anyway.

[For all his complaining, Asher does have strong convictions.

He is not cynical enough to believe that there's no possibility of succeeding.]

[Well, he hadn't begun this conversation to play confessor, but he can roll with it all the same. He leans back, crossing his arms and resting one hand on his chin as he listens, nodding solemnly on cue.

Finally, he says: ]

These other teams, can you say that you know them very well?

[moneyballer]

Nah, can't say I do.

[They're older, though.]

We're newer, though.

That might be a part of it.

[tragos]

[A shrug.]

Then who is to say they do not have their own troubles? Though you may be onto something there. It takes time, and trust. Have faith.
