[Fiona is a little out of breath, like she just hustled very quickly away from somewhere. Which she did, but that's neither here nor there. The background behind her is some innocuous wood panelling; she's in a house.]
Okay. So. Crunch time. Things are getting nuts out there, if you didn't notice. We are gonna wind up super screwed if we don't hop to figuring out what the hell to do.
[She holds up a vial. It has some alien writing on it, as well as a familiar symbol on the label.]
We found this inside the hospital. A shit-ton of them, actually. So who wants to find out what Zymandis asshole is responsible for this mess and beat an antidote out of them?
[ ooc. PS, maya, hanzo, and mccree might show up in your threads. feel free to threadjack as well! ]

[ Ah, yep... Well, it was a little less awkward, but now there's that face. That's a face that jabs more like a knife than a needle. Quickly he'll latch on to her reply, something okay to talk about. ]
Yeah, same. But, I mean, they say everything kinda pauses when you fall out of your world, so at least they probably aren't missing us... Maybe they just say that to make us feel better, but who knows... Time's weird.
[ That last part, he can say with conviction. Who knows what all the hell it can do. ]

[ Well, he might think so but after she closes off that second vial she changes it again, not speaking for a moment. She doesn't know how to reply without bringing up Other Things but. ]
Even if time had not stopped, many of my friends are in a coma, they would not be able to miss me.
[ She says it quietly, giving him a tiny smile in response. ]
Overall, even with this issue, it may actually be better for me here, I cannot really say.

[ That little smile doesn't help with the way her explanation thuds into the conversation like a brick into a china shop. That sounds even worse than he'd imagined. ]
Oh. I'm... sorry. [ His face falls considerably, mouth hanging agape for a second too long. ] I guess I wish my friends were in a coma, so it's probably better for both of us, huh...
[ Now he's the one oversharing. He does his best to rustle up a smile again. ]
Kinda hard to say when we get thrown into stuff like this, but we'll figure it out. We'll clear it up and get back to Oska and everything'll be chill again.
[ Like they always do. ]

Truly...? Though I do hope so. This mission feels more tiring than Perdition's Rest was, and I had only just arrived then.
[ Too much science, she isn't a natural at it like the other three... she only knows so much because she studied hard. ]

Yeah... [ He sighs a little. ] This one's a little more involved than everything else has been... It's a lot closer to home, too. But we'll be alright.
[ He's been wavering on the steadfast optimism front lately and it sucks. Time to push past that. They've still got plenty of hope. ]
Seriously, even if it ends up not being what I wanna hear, thanks... And sorry for being such a pain.
[ He grins. Maybe they can... look past this and forget it ever happened. She seems like such a nice girl, she didn't deserve this... ]

Yes, of course. [ She's careful about dipositing the needle into the yellow box, then turns back around. ]
And please do not worry about it, in the meantime please feel free to get dressed. We can go to my workstation after and conduct the test there.
[ She really didn't deserve this, Sigma... ]

[ Speaking of which, don't need to tell him twice. As soon as she turns her back again, he's losing the blanket and snatching up his discarded pants, fumbling them rightside out and pulling them on. Buckling his belt as surreptitiously as possible. ]
Okay, ready. [ To go, yes. For the results, not really. He leaves the blanket loosely folded over his chair and turns to follow. ] Lead on.
[ Look, it's in the wrong order, but he'll buy her dinner the next chance he's got, okay... ]

Thank you. [ She glances back to give him a small smile, holding onto the vials in her hand, then pulls aside the curtains to head into the lab section. She indicates for him to follow, trying to avoid anyone on the way in case they ask questions. ]
This way.
[ The toxiology lab is actually difficult to enter at the moment, so she takes a different lab. It means she'll have to be more careful when handling it and ensure no one sees them, but given how rapidly the virus is spreading it doesn't really matter anymore.
Once they're inside she's already setting up the equipment, preparing the glass dish and slide. She puts it underneath the microscope, releasing some of the blood from the first vial onto the glass dish so she can start. ]
I am ready to start now, all right?
