[Jhin doesn't seem interested in giving a proper introduction, merely getting straight to the point of why he's making this post.]

Now that everyone's had some time to relax, I'd say it's as good a time as any to get to know each other a bit better. We're all supposed to be a team and yet it's not particularly difficult to simply avoid contact with each other. While I am certain that does have its benefits, I imagine at least knowing who your teammates are, is as equally beneficial.

As such, Peter and I have decided to host a little... party of sorts. There will be team building activities if that's your thing, or simply come learn everyone's names if you're so inclined. Though I'm certain no one will judge you if you merely choose to show up for the food.

[People are probably pretty tired of seeing Parker's face at this point, but sucks for them, because here it is again.]

Our kitty-hosts gave us the go ahead, so, we might as well use our downtime for something productive. After all is said and done, we thought we'd utilize out newfound team skills in a game of Capture the Flag, basically. It's worth a shot, right? So... let us know if you have questions, or ... you think you'd want to come.

Yeah, it's not easy for everyone.

( for someone that's outwardly charismatic, Peter wouldn't actually consider himself socially gifted. )

Beyond that, missions don't always give us the chance to get to know each other. This could be a good opportunity to work on that.

I got here in the middle of the last mission, so meeting anyone was... Difficult to say the least, is it always that busy?

( Peter has been present for four different missions, now. he has to pause to consider. )

Usually they're busy, yeah, but not quite on that scale. Usually there's a gradual build-up, Woodhurst ... Woodhurst didn't have any downtime. At least, not for most of us.

[Sasuke hums, thoughtful, frowning slightly.]

Would you say missions are more similar to the place we find ourselves in now then? Or are they... Still as busy, I guess, even with some buildup?

( he has to think about it a little before he answers. )

I think it really ends up depending on our objective. Zeta-12 we had to get squidges from point a to point b. That was never going to be as stressful as finding the cure to a horrible disease.

But yeah, usually there's a slower escalation. There was some calm at the start of Woodhurst, but it didn't take long for things to get bad.

Transporting... What?

[Appreciative hum from Sasuke.]

I think I might had missed on the calm days, by the time I realized what was going on, people were already acting crazy.

Squidges. They're baby aliens, you can probably look them up on your Magitek. Or meet them, when we get back to Oska.

( if they ever go back... ok moving on freaking out about Oska isn't gonna help right now. )

Are you a pretty recent recruit, then?

I haven't read much about previous missions, didn't have the time, but I'll be sure to read upon them now that we have some down time. Are they dangerous?

Yes, arrived.... a little bit longer than a month ago, I think.

Some more than others. I don't think we've run into a mission that was completely harmless, though.

I know it is a lot to get used to, but it gets easier after awhile.
