The chances are pretty likely, given how prevalent magic is around these parts. Well, not just these parts—across the collective multiverse, really.

Perhaps a better question for you, have you seen anyone else do this?

[ She sets everything down, and generates free-floating hex energy in her hands. ]

[ To see a kid take wonder in something created to be a weapon is still a joy to her. ]

Don't we call everything we don't understand magic? I feel that is simplistic.

[ She knows the scientific name, someone'd be hard-pressed to get that out of her without good reason. ]

Hm... I dunno, maybe some people do, but that isn't right either. Just 'cause we don't get it doesn't make it magic.

Dude—you're supposed to be able to tell us what it is, not me.

There is a name for me and others with different powers, not for it.

[ ... Ah. Okay, there's a difference there, probably. ]

Is that what you want? 'Cause usually, "powers" is a good enough catch-all term for—well, powers.

Wouldn't you like to know exactly what you have instead of a word that could mean so many things?

—Point taken. [ That. Makes a lot of sense. ] ... Is ESP out the window, too?

[ She makes a bit of a face, because that word has too much connotation. ]

Uh—okay. It's like... you have your normal senses, but your mind is able to sense new things in a different way too on top of all that. That's where stuff like psychometry or telepathy supposedly come from. What you just did could, hypothetically, be telekinesis.

[scarletcast]

[ It's eerily on the nose. ]

That seems right. It's what I do most often.
