It depends on the situation. In my world there's light magic, and dark magic.

[ she's serious, but maybe a few relevant details are missing. it's hard to explain the fairytale thing.]

Light magic comes from things like love, and hope... genuine sacrifice. Dark magic, as you'd expect, involves more sinister intentions. There's no exchange to function, it's more like some type of karmic payback. Consequences, for using something so powerful against the rest of the world.

[ It makes sense. Two sides of the same coin. ]

And anyone can use either of them?

[sheriffing]

Anyone can use magic that exists in the world.

[ minus a few exceptions that also involve magical intervention. ]

Some people have magic that comes from within.

And it is either light or dark?

[sheriffing]

I think that depends on how they use it.

[ darkness and light is a creation of intent, as far as she's concerned.]
