Thin red wisps of hex energy weave around her fingers. A small rock, part of a doorframe, and a water bottle are moving in a slow, lazy circle like they're being turned on an invisible Ferris wheel. ]

​​​​[ She's quiet at first, concentrating. Then, she pulls the water bottle into one hand. The other two objects keep circling. ]

What is this called, where you are from?

I'm not sure I'll ever completely believe it. I don't have time to find answers, but everything I've ever known tells me they are there.

( he will always be a scientist at heart... though he's less bad than he used to be. it only took a year of exposure to magic to get Peter to begrudgingly contemplate it being some completely foreign idea all on its own. )

It's good to try and understand what you do not know.

[ There's not always an explanation — Wanda knows. Sometimes things are, and there's no how or why. ]

Used to be that disease, the stars, the air, none of it had an explanation. There was one, we just needed to advance enough to understand it.

( it's hard for him to stop wanting those answers, though the longer he's a part of this team, the less able he's able to hold onto it so rigidly. )

These days, though... I dunno. Maybe in other worlds, it's not so easy as that. Maybe not even in mine was it that simple.
