I thought going home was something that only happened if the timeline machine thought you were special enough.

[Kagari knows that he of all people has no particular importance to his universe...and that's if it's even true that people go home. He's never quite trusted ALASTAIR on their word on that point.]

That may be their reason, but it is notable that it prefers some worlds more than others.

Probably worlds that don't suck.

[aka not his...honestly though he doubts ALASTAIR needs him anymore than his own world does--which makes him a good pawn, in a way, having little of value to actually lose.]
