Seriously. Seeing as we've all rested up and done our homework-- assuming that you've all gone through the dossier already [with all the intonation of the high school teacher who is definitely expecting you to stay on top of the readings, or so help him]-- we've got some work to do. We've only got a couple weeks to meet up with our analyst on Leramzen, get in, and get out with the diamond. I don't doubt we can manage, but I also know we're a pretty eclectic bunch.

That's a nice way of saying 'crazy mismatched', by the way.

I'm curious, though. How many people have experience with-- let's call 'em requisitions? A mission like this is familiar enough that I'm almost getting nostalgic here, and I feel like some of us might be in the same boat. [He huffs, in what might be the beginnings of a sardonic-sounding laugh.]

It might help us get our plans in order, but if you're sworn to secrecy or don't feel like fessing up for whatever reason... [he shrugs a bare shoulder, head tilting a little,] I get it. It's not the lightest of topics for everyone.

If this sounds like something you're familiar with, wouldn't the most efficient course of action be sharing that knowledge?

While I'm not entirely unfamiliar with stealth, I'm first and foremost a man of action. I wish there was more information provided on possible strategies, and tactics that should be used, rather than the whole "here, figure it out".

Covert ops by their very nature require careful planning, and good teamwork [ as hard as it is to admit. ] To say that we are "mismatched bunch" is to put it incredibly lightly.

Me? Fine. I'm not hiding anything. I worked as a thief by trade for a few years: I haven't done it in a while, but those skills don't really disappear so easily.

[And, truthfully, he isn't ashamed of it. Others are in the same boat and no one's judged him for any of it thus far-- actually, with Giorno and Fugo in mind, he's getting more flack for stopping when he was good at it.]

As for having a battle plan, you'd better get used to it. Every ALASTAIR unit is its own individual faction, so we're our own commanders here. None of which is totally advantageous when we all hate each other, but it is what it is.

But no, not in my experience. We're usually tracking down a lead or protecting something: not stealing diamonds.
