The ratio of useful gifts to absolutely ridiculous ones I've received has been about equal. But if you ask nicely, they might be willing to deliver a shipment.

Food supplies, camp supplies, proper gear... You know I've talked to one person wearing silk gloves? She expected them to be enough against cold like this! It's not like they didn't know they were putting us down in a frozen wasteland. And that there are people here who've never had to actually deal with freezing temperatures. I'm shocked we haven't lost anyone already.

It sounds like a good time to provide advice on how to properly survive in colder temperatures, before we actually do lose someone to mindless decision-making.

Ugh, I should pipe up, shouldn't I? I'd been hoping it'd be enough just to help out as I can. I had a camp set up on this side of the lake to pick up the stragglers, and honest to god, I can't believe how little some people know about dealing with cold weather.

And I swear that's not just because of my particular heritage.

No! No, they haven't! Good lord have they ever not! The boots are alright as long as someone has decent socks, but the number of people I've seen come through without even gloves... it's appalling. There was a kid who came through with bare hands!

It's going to be a miracle if everyone makes it out of this with all of their fingers and toes.

It's a miracle we managed to survive our last few missions as well.

[And yet here most of them are, trudging along snow-covered paths with small blobs in tow. Well, they can't do much about their comrades now, other than adding more names onto their babysitting list.]

Ugh! Eventually we're going to run out of miracles and actually lose someone. Unless ALASTAIR is using those impressive predictive powers to see just how shoestring a budget they can put us on without anyone actually dying, in which case I am so unimpressed.

I'm, well, I'm alright. The cold doesn't bother me, and I grew up in snow anyways so I know what to do with it. The only thing is rations, really, with nothing properly to forage here.
