Well now. This is all hell of a thing -- ALASTAIR, savin' worlds, temporal bugs full of acid an' whatnot -- but I've got a bit of a conundrum.

I'm a man of many skills, but a cobbler? Oh, far from it. And I've a pair of boots that are a bit in need of a rescue. Suppose I could take what I've been generously given by your very fine organization, but these are a bit near an' dear to my heart.

I don't suppose any of you wondrously talented individuals could help me out? I'd be very much obliged.

My thoughts exactly. [He gives a dramatic sigh.] Had some pirates to get away from [and an angry ex-partner out to kill him] and ended up in a pile of it during my grand escape.

Frankly, as soon as I got here, I was relieved I got the chance to clean up.

The name's Knock Out, and the pleasure's all mine. [ this guy is actually surprisingly tolerable for a human... if he is human..... how weird. ]

As a matter of fact, it does. [ and thank you for appreciating that, stranger that he's decided he likes ] I think you'd fine I'm very aptly named.

I have to admit, though, I'm not sure what that implies about a name like yours.

It certainly sounds like it. Listening to your voice certainly gives that impression.

I think it'd be a little more fun to let you use your imagination on that one.

Trust me, my [ deep, inappropriately sensual ] voice is the least of it.

Now then, as to your name... I think I'm beginning to have a few guesses, with your username in mind.

Oh, I'm not sure. They might sound like rude speculations.

Now now, I think comin' from a voice like that, I'd be awful flattered in any case.

Oh, that sounds doable, as long as you can get yourself out to the courtyard. I've about had enough of navigating the castle.

I don't suppose you'd be taking requests on your way out here?

Well, I'm not normally so generous, but you've put me in a good mood.

What can I do for ya?

A polishing cloth. As large as you can find one. It turns out bug goo shouldn't be wiped off with one, if you still want to have it afterward.

Ruined yours, eh? That's fair. I'll bring out what I can find.

[Of course, he doesn't have any inkling that who he's speaking with is going to be a rather tall robot, but what can you do. Suffice it to say, Twisted Fate has arranged a few polishing cloths; they aren't terribly large, but he figured bringing more than one might help.

A swirl of cards appears in the middle of the courtyard. With a snap in the air, Twisted Fate appears, cloths draped over his arm.]

[ Knock Out is leaned comfortably against a low wall in the courtyard, arms folded over his chest and looking bored. That flurry of cards not far off catches his eye though, and he looks decidedly impressed as Twisted Fate appears out of it. Or, who he assumes is Twisted Fate. The clothes draped over his arm lends credibility.

Human, then. Sort of disappointing, but you take what you can get, particularly when it's as flashy as this guy is. ]

Twisted Fate, I hope.

[fateality]

[When he'd pulled his trick, he did have the vision of a robot -- but he certainly didn't expect Knock Out to be as tall as he is. He's rendered speechless for a few seconds before he smiles and tips his hat to the Cybertronian.]

The one an' only. It's a pleasure.

Hopefully, these will suffice. 'Fraid there wasn't much else.

[ He enjoys that speechlessness. He always enjoys it. He pushes off from his lean and takes a leisurely (but showy, a bit of a saunter to them) few steps to close the distance between them, then leans over to delicately pluck up the proffered clothes. ]

A bit minuscule. I didn't ask for 'as large as you can find' for no reason. [ which is probably pretty apparent by now ]

[They're given freely. This time, anyway. Quite honestly, Knock Out's been the most fun to talk to so far. It helps that it's verbal, anyway.]

Point taken. Didn't take into account what giant you'd be.
