[The video starts up, and look! IIt's Papyrus, back to normal and definitely not a traumatized king!

To those who have never seen him before, well… He's a skeleton!! A very loud one. He's shouting while gesturing grandly to himself when he starts:]

HELLO, EVERYONE! IT IS I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS!!

Now, you may think to yourself, "WHAT HAVE I DONE TODAY TO BE BLESSED WITH A VIDEO OF THE GREAT PAPYRUS??" The answer is simple!! Be here and have magic jewelry!!

"BUT WAIT!!" You wonder!! "WHY HAS HE DECIDED TO GRACE ME WITH HIS PRESENCE!!" Another simple answer!! I've decided I'm going to teach those here who don't know what certain things are what they are!!

[Starting with the kitchen, Papyrus points at the large refrigerator.]

This is a refrigerator! Also known as a "fridge!" You put food inside of it, and it keeps it cold so you can eat it later!

[To demonstrate the point, he opens the fridge, and inside are six containers all with the word SPAGHET written on them, in Papyrus' hand writing.]

-And before you ask why you would want cold food… you don't! Unless it's meant to be cold. But then you just take it out, put it in the oven or boil it, and it's good to eat again! Usually I use a microwave, but sometimes nothing beats a good ol' bucket of oven-heated pasta!!

Next we have… cameras!!

[And with that, Papyrus holds up a cute looking instant polaroid camera.]

With this, you can take a picture of something, and it prints it out on paper you can keep! I'd demonstrate, but this is Olivia's, not mine. People use it to take pictures of their friends or themselves, so you can always relive the memories of the past!! Unless you want to forget them, in which case, do NOT get a camera, and instead get alcohol!!

Moving on to this!!

[It's deodorant.]

EVERYONE WHO ISN'T USING THIS, NEEDS TO USE THIS.

[One brief moment of staring hard at the communicator later, he continues.]

Now, there's many, many, many, many, many…. many things I still need to go over, so listen up!!

[He turns his communication jewelry to face down at the pile of "modern" objects he's collected in front of him. Said pile includes things like:

a cellphone, a selfie-stick, a scrap of paper with the word "ANIME" on it, an umbrella, hair curlers and straighteners, an mp3 player, a box of spaghetti, and various drawings of things like cars, televisions, airplanes, to name a few.

Perhaps your character even sees something there not listed… ]

Anything you see here, you can ask about, and I will explain it to you!! I will be your educational guide to the future and wonder of modern technology!!

Wow, Great Papyrus. Didn't know you were so greatly knowledgeable, too.

So multi-talented.

These all sound like spelled items.

[Laedo is making, for once, a pursed-mouth face of mild confusion, rather than irritation.]

Which ones are the weapons? [ It's the selfie stick, right...... the curler looks vaguely dangerous too but she's pretty sure number one is the selfie stick. ] I could use a laugh.

[She already knows what all this stuff is but:] Must you yell so much?

[Despite not actually being a piece of modern technology(he was modern art) Ban was nestled next to the pile of modern items, snoring softly. Ban's leg twitched as he mumbled something about a lady named Elaine and how he wanted her to take her clothes off--]

[Papyrus being marginally useful. Who knew. That said, there is something here that piques her attention, largely because it has so little explanation going along with it.]

'Anime'?

[Pronounced 'a-nim' because she doesn't understand how Japanese works.]

[ he wants to point at it, he wants to hop in place and point at the deodorant stick like it's the next best thing since sliced bread and rum.

but because he's civil, he settles for staring intently instead ]

Where do you find those things? Deodorant. Preferably in large numbers.

[Serene's in the middle of packing for the trip to Perdition and so she's immediately interested in Papyrus' show and tell. She frowns at the deodorant, not recognising the bottle]

What is that and why must we use it?

[He squints at that very last item that people 'NEED' to use.

What is that? You named everything else, but you didn't name that one!

[This is a bad sign.]

That's very helpful of you, making sure everyone is familiar with what they can find around here.

[Fortunately he recognizes these things.

Though he does wonder about that paper with the word anime on it. Does he know what anime is? A mystery...]

Okay, but...

[He looks vaguely confused, scratching the side of his head with one hand]

How's that stuff work? What makes the cold in that fridge thing?

[Names were all well and good but... For as long as he's been here, he's still not sure how most of this stuff is meant to function, other than 'magic'. And given how useful some of it was, he wants to know what makes it tick.]

... You're not actually going to explain anime to everyone, are you?

[ staring is rude. he knows that, and yet this is some very serious staring. like the completely obvious, open-mouthed kind. it's not so much horror (even though skeletons are totally spooky) as it is very profound confusion.

because that right there is a goddamned talking skeleton. ]

What—how are you—where's the rest of you!? How are you moving? Or talking? Or... no, wait, you're a robot, right? That would make sense. So much more sense.

[ whew, totally lost his cool there for a second! but it's definitely a robot. he's used to robots. everything's fine. ]

[ she'd been in the process of wandering down to the kitchens when he made that broadcast, and so she missed most of it. with a hand to her head, and a faint sway and drag to her step, she doesn't exactly look in the best of shape, and she pauses by the doorway... mostly just so she can lean heavily on it. ]

Papyrus...? [ she looks down at the pile at his feet. ]

Are you cleaning?

[Whilst the shouting is somewhat disconcerting, this isn't actually the first talking skeleton he's ever experienced and so that's something. All those other things, however...well it's just as well SOMEONE has chosen to explain them because he sure as hell doesn't know what they are.

He's not terribly impressed, however.]

Most of that stuff is human technology, isn't it? You shouldn't be using it. It's exactly that kind of stuff that destroys worlds.

Why are all the skeletons she's met such weirdos?? ]

... I guess some of that was actually useful.

[So Sanji knows what most of this stuff is, at least. They have cameras, refrigerators, deodorant (if your name isn't Monkey D. Luffy), umbrellas, cars.... the television looks like what's normally set up to video transponder snails, but without the snail part of things.

But...]

Oi, skeleton. [Why is there another skeleton why does the universe think it needs more than one loud, talking skeleton. At least this one didn't come with a ghost ship.] What's that thing. The black box with buttons.

[The cell phone. He's talking about the cell phone.]
