It's occurred to me that since our membership shifts and our backgrounds vary so much, it might be good to compare what we're capable of. More to the point, I was thinking we might be able to help each other pick up relevant skills, if not hone the ones we already have.
If people are looking to train or think they could help others, why don't we discuss that here? I know at least a few of us don't have backgrounds in combat, for example. On our first day here I met someone who wasn't familiar with firearms but might get good use out of the skill, for another.
In my case, I have experience training others and can help with hand-to-hand combat. I can work with people ranging from average human strength to well above it. I've got some skill with swords and knives, but I wouldn't compare that to someone who specializes in them, and that's something I'd like to work on. In terms of non-combative skills, if someone wants to work on something like cooking, I'm reasonably helpful there.
Let's see how we can help each other improve.
[ooc: Please feel free to thread-hop/jack here, that's what this is for!]

[ save her ]
And a lot of different things people know how to make.

[He omits the 'and I needed it when I was on my own', because that's definitely not a conversation he wants to have with Chihiro.]
Tell you what. Maybe you can help me make something easy for the Reverend one of these days. It'll be a nice way to thank him and to get some practice in.
no subject
I would like that very much, Jin-san. Do we want to figure out one of the local dishes to try? Or something different? The Reverend has been a pretty open person to everything except talking about the Deemers.

[it's been an Adventure, that's for sure.]
Have you found anything resembling rice? A lot of stuff I want to suggest probably wouldn't be the same without it.

[ text can't show how she finds that INCREDIBLE to believe. but she has to believe it. it's been true. ]

Well...
We can improvise. It'll probably be fine, right?

We're going to be experimental cooks?

I didn't know about the amusement park, but I do know that he likes to eat. Asher looks like a guy who'd love those funnel cake things they have at theme parks...

The ones with the really fine sugar on top?
no subject
Yup, those ones. Can't you imagine him eating one by himself and getting sugar everywhere?

a sugar daddy is a rich man you date because he buys you expensive things
no subject
I don't think Asher should be allowed to be a sugar daddy. That sounds stupid. Like you're asking for a greedy person to stay with you just because they're greedy.
[ #wisdom??? BUT NO ONE SAID ASHER WAS ONE, CHIHIRO. she knows this but as long as they swerved way the hell out here, she can address... that much.......... ]

[big marshmallow, asher is; sugar daddy material, he is definitely not.]
