[Fiona is a little out of breath, like she just hustled very quickly away from somewhere. Which she did, but that's neither here nor there. The background behind her is some innocuous wood panelling; she's in a house.]

Okay. So. Crunch time. Things are getting nuts out there, if you didn't notice. We are gonna wind up super screwed if we don't hop to figuring out what the hell to do.

[She holds up a vial. It has some alien writing on it, as well as a familiar symbol on the label.]

We found this inside the hospital. A shit-ton of them, actually. So who wants to find out what Zymandis asshole is responsible for this mess and beat an antidote out of them?

He is the one agent in this city known to us. Find him, if that is your wish, but his confessions may be of great use to us still. Mettaton has the right of it.

[ He shakes his head. ]

We know what they want of this world, and of every other world besides. I will not be wasting time.

[ Her nostrils flare at the dismissiveness, and only years of schooling her face into neutrality keep her pride at bay. Yet Koltira saved her life once, when she was young and afraid. He claimed that man is dead now, but she does not forget. ]

It is not enough.

Once you took up your sword in vengeance for the Nalawi. Take it up now for us, and the people of Woodhust. If there is some antidote to be found, we must relieve him of his secrets, to start. That much justice at least is owed to the infected.

[ And so it is not for his life that they argue. ]

It is for their sake that I would stay your hand.

We have people enough set to that task. Otherwise I let them take my blood for nothing, which I dearly hope is not the case.

[ But he's not totally unreasonable, and she's not treating him like an idiot child, so -- ]

If you or the others devise some quick method of pulling answers from him, I would allow this, even if I find him first. But I will not let him escape this planet with his life. His blood will be justice for the dead and the afflicted. The justice of the grave.

I have learned even a hundred eyes may look and fail to see what two have hidden. It may be he carries a missing piece.

[ She's letting their hard-working people on the inside off the hook for that one. Just because they have not yet succeeded does not mean that they will not. ]

Loki bears a sword of truth. There are many among us who are skilled at putting men to the question, I'm certain. Swiftly.

[ The rest, she does not touch. She is a queen and he a knight, but she is not his queen. She has grown more shrewd in her battles, and small victories are enough, for now. ]

[ He can concede that much. ]

If Loki wishes to question this creature, he will have the time to do so.

[ But then this doctor has to die. ]

Then I am thankful.

[ It is diplomacy. Though she had concealed a little surge of draconic fury at the implication that what she wished to do was a waste of time (I have a dragon's temper, that's all), this was easily done.

But before she returns to parsing through the information in this announcement, she wonders if he has been below the streets, and asks: ]

Have you espied the infected in the sewers?

[ Not many have mentioned that in this post, but it caught her attention. That they would feed and observe those they have infected, like animals, troubles her. ]

[ Koltira responds well to people who treat him with even a modicum of respect. Dany, too, speaks in a way that's familiar to him; she has a particular eloquence to her speech that he finds readily engaging. ]

I have. But I have noticed them shambling about everywhere, at this point.

[ He's explored much of the city--an easy feat when you don't need food or rest. ]
