This is Sieglinde Sullivan, the Green Witch.

I shall not waste my time or yours with much pleasantries. The situation is dire, as you know.

Several of our number have been working tirelessly to develop a vaccine to this virus, and hopefully a cure.

Tests of the vaccine are proceeding smoothly, and we have seen positive results so far- it may be available within one or two weeks time if all continues to go well and no adverse effects present themselves.

I cannot guarantee nor estimate potential cures, and it is not my intent to elevate your hopes, but know that we have several leads we are exploring. Samples of blood, particularly from those of the non-humans within our ranks who are or may be immune to the virus, are much needed at this time if you have not already been solicited.

To protect against the possibility of contamination, four of us have set up in separate locations.

Urahara Kisuke, in the hospital laboratories. Peter Parker, in the university laboratories. Sonia Nevermind, at her apartment residence, 20B of Woodhurst Court. I myself have relocated from the hospital to a residential office, at 45 Pinehurst Drive.

Samples or supplies are welcome there. The others may speak for themselves, but in my case, I will not tolerate any distractions or intrusions, so please do not abuse the knowledge of that address.

[ooc; just a note from some of the Team Science members so that characters can have a better IC idea of what's going down on that front! Stay tuned for more OOC and IC info on/near the 25th!]

I can do that. Can even put together some efficacy charts, might help hone in on a release date.
predomination: because let me tell you something, paper cuts in your asshole are not a laughing matter. don't test me. (⚛ you wanna wear this fan home?)

[personal profile] predomination 2017-03-10 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
[you're the hero team science deserves, waylon]

You could save us a great deal of time. It's just the four of us with a few assistants- we really do need all the help we can get on this front.

[personal profile] mutemail 2017-03-10 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
I can collate the work for the four of you. Start with you maybe, see how quickly I can parse through the med aspects.

[ He just wants to feel useful, ok. ]
predomination: if you need me, i'll be popcorn.giffing your struggles (⚛ whelp. my job here is done.)

[personal profile] predomination 2017-03-10 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
The hospital environment should make that part easier, at least.

[knowledge osmosis?? or maybe just having people nattering about medical jargon here and there.]

I just ask that you be careful. The hospital's been compromised by Zymandis and it might still be dangerous.

[personal profile] mutemail 2017-03-10 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm pretty new to the team, what does Zymandis want with a hospital?
predomination: like someone deepthroating a sword. (⚛ i sense a disturbance in the force)

By the looks of it, they were using it to distribute the virus early on. Their way of kickstarting this world's destruction, even if it is a slow burn plan.

[personal profile] mutemail 2017-03-10 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
That's unsettling. What's to stop them from just rinsing and repeating this through other timelines?
predomination: they all just bloom together beautifully (⚛ FYI flowers don't compete)

[personal profile] predomination 2017-03-10 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Good question. Hopefully, it's just too unwieldy and time consuming to do again, though that's what makes this all the more unsettling. In Perdition's Rest, they were trying to speed up what would have happened naturally if left alone, which tells me they prefer efficient routes to destruction.

[personal profile] mutemail 2017-03-10 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know enough about them. I think my imagination is getting away with me, in terms of what they're really capable of. Then again, do we really know??
predomination: go tell everyone. (⚛ he's dead. we killed him.)

[personal profile] predomination 2017-03-11 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
We don't! So a little imagination might be the difference between underestimating them and being prepared for whatever they might throw at us.

I like to think of it as being prepared for anything, as opposed to being paranoid.

[personal profile] mutemail 2017-03-13 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I've seen some pretty terrible things.

[ Which he's in no mood to elaborate on. ]

Seems like they could have done this a whole lot faster, and we'd never have stood a chance. That worries me. Doesn't add up.
predomination: or i could stay here and think about science (⚛ i mean we could do that)

[personal profile] predomination 2017-03-14 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
That's exactly why Sasaki-san, myself, and several others are concerned. It does feel a bit like a trap, doesn't it?

And if it's not, it's something unpleasant.

[personal profile] mutemail 2017-03-15 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
Not sure who I should be talking to sometimes. My skills don't feel quite right for anything we do.
predomination: because FUCK NAMES. (⚛ kick ass. TAKE ZERO NAMES.)

[personal profile] predomination 2017-03-15 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh I'm sure that's not true. And if we ever get an extended period of downtime again, I'm sure you have the chance to pick up some new skills. We can't be a cohesive unit if we're not willing to help each other out, now can we?
