This is Sieglinde Sullivan, the Green Witch.

I shall not waste my time or yours with much pleasantries. The situation is dire, as you know.

Several of our number have been working tirelessly to develop a vaccine to this virus, and hopefully a cure.

Tests of the vaccine are proceeding smoothly, and we have seen positive results so far- it may be available within one or two weeks time if all continues to go well and no adverse effects present themselves.

I cannot guarantee nor estimate potential cures, and it is not my intent to elevate your hopes, but know that we have several leads we are exploring. Samples of blood, particularly from those of the non-humans within our ranks who are or may be immune to the virus, are much needed at this time if you have not already been solicited.

To protect against the possibility of contamination, four of us have set up in separate locations.

Urahara Kisuke, in the hospital laboratories. Peter Parker, in the university laboratories. Sonia Nevermind, at her apartment residence, 20B of Woodhurst Court. I myself have relocated from the hospital to a residential office, at 45 Pinehurst Drive.

Samples or supplies are welcome there. The others may speak for themselves, but in my case, I will not tolerate any distractions or intrusions, so please do not abuse the knowledge of that address.

[ooc; just a note from some of the Team Science members so that characters can have a better IC idea of what's going down on that front! Stay tuned for more OOC and IC info on/near the 25th!]

[Maybe Pete should write that parenting guide!!!! After he stops being all cannibalistic, ofc.

It doesn't strike her as odd to see Peter already there - presumably he'd gotten there first due to proximity to his previous location and not due to any weird web-slinging superhuman powers. Whatever pleasure she might have derived upon seeing someone she likes as she steps out of the car's quashed too easily by Peter's current state of being. No one's doing well, of course, but it still hurts to see their numbers affected as much as they have been.]

It's been busy. [Both in terms of official ALASTAIR work and unofficial police department work.] Though it sounds like you've been busy too.

[Doing far more important work than she is, in her opinion.]

( you don't think "a cannibal's guide to child rearing" would sell? why not?

also wait what the hell he's not a father??

he doesn't look great and perhaps even Peter knows that, but he's pretty good at projecting a picture of normality. he's been doing it for far longer than Woodhurst, after all, so it's not that much of a stretch to keep the game up now.
)

Yeah, I've heard. ( half from the fact he listens in on the police radio, because of course he does, and half from the fact Stiles tells him in the short allotment of time they actually get to spend together, usually somewhere between laying down and going to sleep. ) Trying, anyway. I wish I could say I felt like I was closer to an answer.

[Please, she's waiting for the day he and Stiles get married and adopt fifty million children. (or maybe that's ic/ooc bleed, w/e)

But when they're both older of course. Right now for all that Peter acts and looks like a young man, Riza's still reminded of how young he is in comparison to so many others, and how much of a burden he's already had to bear for the team. (If only she knew about everything else, but—)

She watches him for a moment, then attempts her best reassuring smile. It's not a very good one; she's never been particularly skilled at inspiring hope.]

You'll find a solution, all of you. [Her gaze drops down, then lefts back up.] I'm a little envious, actually. What you're doing seems so much more valuable than patrolling the streets.

[There's importance to her work too, of course, but sometimes it's hard not to wonder just how much benefit there is to any of it.]

( riza let them live they're not even technically dating you have got to calm down

the range of ages on the team is a pretty wide split, but as far as the team working on the cure, Peter is the second oldest. which says more about how young the other two are, really, because nineteen, technically twenty thanks to all the time he's spent here? it's not that old, by the standard of most.

he's lived a lot in twenty years, though... and his time in Audentes really hasn't slowed much down. sacrifices in Nalawi, minds wiped by a parasite in Perdition's Rest, and now an entire city paralyzed by the progressive spread of an incredibly destructive virus? even parenting a squidge had forced him to be more of an adult than he was.

at least he's already used to it.
)

We're trying to. ( they don't have an option of failure, either, so they're going to have to keep pushing until they find an answer. his eyebrows drop at the mention his work was more valuable. ) That's not true. Without you, things could be escalating out of control right now. If there weren't anyone to contain the riots, what would happen? We need people like you. You're giving us the time we need.

( and boy... did they need it. )
