The organization, from what he can gather of its members, doesn't exactly subscribe to the "iron fist" style of leadership, anyway. Or maybe everyone's just too trusting and there hasn't been occasion for the hammer to come down.

But the thing is, Kagari's the best sort of pawn to have--one with nothing to lose.]

A friend of mine is here and, while I'm very glad he's here, honestly his presence is a stronger motivation to find a way home than it would be if I were on my own.

[UGHHHH don't remind him of that. He wants to be selfish, of course. To be away from Japan and have the squad with him? That would be ideal. But Akane-chan wouldn't be happy. She'd make the most of it, of course. She'd make friends and try to inspire everyone to get along and work together and she'd really believe they were here for some greater purpose, but she'd miss her home and her friends and he h a t e s that that's something that matters to him, and that this person had to go and ruin the hypothetical for him.

Maybe it'd be better if just the enforcers came, then. Maybe after Kou-chan finally hunted down Makishima.]
