if anyone can tell me how to get videogames or proper internet on this thing i will do a dare of ur choice and let u record the results for posterity/blackmail/whatever u want
in the meantime i've got way too much time to kill so let's play would you rather
for those of you poor souls who've never known the glory of the internet, it goes like this: someone posts two things (the more ridic the better) and people respond with their decision on which they'd rather do and then come up with their own two things
it ends up with us all judging each other's life and choices and nobody lives happily ever after (◡‿◡✿)
i'll start with something appropriate to our upcoming ~mission~
would you rather...
be eaten by a zombie, or burnt at the stake?

[She had shown up just as he was finishing, but he didn't mind sharing, either.]
Soooo the first part is getting the ingredients, of course.
[Which is easy, because he just sort of has to think them?? at the kitchen??? and then they show up in the shelves/fridge....]
Heat up that pan for me, would you? While I shred the cheese and chop up the lettuce.
no subject
Of course. [ She's still amazed at how fast this place produces the things they need... still, she gets to work rather quickly, and he's able to tell that she's experienced. ] What type of cheese do you usually use?
no subject
[Japan used to import most of its cheese and now that trade no longer happens, it's probably some rare-ass shit in 2112. But let's say Kagari mentioned some kind of cheese he likes using anyway because maybe some rich asshole decided to make a business swindling rich people with a home-made cheese-making business and enforcers can save up to order that shit online with the salary that they do get or something, waves hands.]

Reika is the naturally silent type, so she won't bring up much conversation unless Kagari starts first. He must still be in a not-so-good mood after the network post, anyway. ]
no subject
Soooo, what do you like to eat usually, Reika-chan?
no subject
[ But really, things aren't so good back home so she'll let others pick first. As long as it's edible, she'll take it. ]
no subject
If you were stuck on a deserted island and got to have like, one favorite meal with you, what'd it be.
no subject
Ah... well. [ She has to think. ] I'm not picky about food, but... curry would be nice.
[ Does that count as a valid answer? ]
no subject
no subject
Not really. Though, I sometimes have trouble with the super spicy kind...
[ Ah, but! ]
What's your favourite food?
no subject
[WHAT'S THIS THO, A KINDRED SPIRIT IN FOOD TASTE???]
Oh man, I feel you, Reika-chan. I hate spicy food too.
[which is a tragedy tbh, spicy food is love is life shuusei kagari. smh.]
I don't really have a favorite, but I like making this dish the most, so I guess that counts?
no subject
[ that's supposed to be a compliment. ]
Is it usually made with beef only?
no subject
no subject
[ It's the same in her world too. Animals were much of a legend there. ]
no subject
[w h y....u don't even have the sybil system to worry about....y deny urselves...]
no subject
[ Yeah, the food is synthetic and made in factories. ]
no subject
Why? I mean, I know why we do it, but you guys haven't cut yourself off from the rest of the world--right?
no subject
[ She's been avoiding the topic of talking about her homeworld in that aspect, but well. ]
Decades ago, monsters appeared on our Earth suddenly. They were practically invincible and destroyed much of the world. A lot of the animals that we used to keep were all killed too.
[ Earth's population declined by a factor of a thousand, maybe even more. ]
no subject
.....You were literally invaded by aliens.
[what the fuck reika-chan]
no subject
[ The will of the Earth to cleanse its surface and rebuild a new world order... something like that. ]
We have ways to fight them, but not eradicate them, so it's been in a sort of standstill since then.
no subject
...Not gonna lie, your world sounds like some kind of shitty horror b-movie.
no subject
We're still fighting back. It's not hopeless.
[ Julius had been the source of not one but two apocalypses but they managed to stop that, so it's not impossible. ]
no subject
[The Sybil System is the result of people trying to create a perfect society. It's deeply flawed and occasionally horrifying, but its existence was never out of people's hands.]
no subject
[ Well, Sakaki had a hypothesis, but. ]
We'll just have to do our best to deal with the aftermath.
no subject
[He's a bit out of his depth tbh. And he's a bit torn, emotionally. Would he be happier, fighting an ongoing post-apocalyptic battle when the apocalypse was nobody's fault? Is it better to have an attachment to that kind of world, or to live the kind of life he's had, which has been miserable and painful but at least he always knew that it was a society in which he had nothing to lose, in which his job was only a means to avoid suffering rather than in any real belief in what he was doing.
He doesn't let that train of thought go far before he shuts it down. It's better not to go into 'should have's and 'might have been's, he'll only drive himself crazy. Or crazier, maybe.]
Right. So uh, you wanna do something? Like, watch a movie or play the DDR app or read a manga?
